Five Stars
Great for science. Kids love them, nearly impossible to mess up.

The best bulk rocket kits for a large group of kids.
I purchased these for a rocket build & launch event during one of our Cub Scout campout weekends. These Viking kits are the tried & true sets to build. Some newer rockets use a plastic fin and motor section and they are finnicky to put together. The Viking still uses heavy cardboard fins that you punch out and glue onto the body tube and there are a few options for fin mounting to make a rocket more unique. I think we have about 4 variations built between all of the Scouts. All of the rockets flew well on the A motors and we had a lot of excitement. I highly recommend these for your first group build!

No Parachute!?!
Images and description do not match what I received. They describe and show a parachute for recovery. The kits I received only come with a streamer. Disappointing. Also disappointing is that the fins are cardboard instead of balsa wood, but that's just my preference. The nice thing about the kit is the 5 fins that allow many different designs so each rocket can look unique.

The kits were easy enough for 12+ year olds to assemble
The Estes Viking Rocket Bulk pack came with 12 individual packages. The kits were easy enough for 12+ year olds to assemble, younger participants needed help. The Rockets were durable to launch several times (at least half of them are still in good shape after 10+ launches. PLEASE NOTE: make sure to purchase glue as this was not included in the kit. We purchased the engines in bulk from another source (engines NOT included).Overall, we were very pleased with this 12 pack.

Reliable brand
We used these for a school science fair project. First of all, rockets are FUN! My preteen worked independently to assemble but a younger child will need help. I recommend looking up instructional videos for tips. Glue not included. Reliable brand with consistent results.
