Great pen
I've been looking for a cute inexpensive pen to fit with a German replacement nib and feeder. This pen doesn't qualify. It's quite attractive, all the joints are tight, threads are true and so on. I filled it up and it writes like a dream. Very smooth, even ink flow, nice in the hand. Just amazed at the high quality at this price point.

My FIRST Acrylic Fountain Pen....
Took a long time for me to look at a "non metal or wood" fountain pen. When I saw this one I loved the structure, the colir and beauty of it instantly. But: Acrylic! Any good? So I made the jump and got one - very happy I did! The color and "flaky"- design is absolutely sweet! The build quality and finish is equal to all of my pens, even the expensive ones! The pen is very light, I had to not only insert an ink tank but also keep one as reserve in the "back compartement" and keep the cap stuck on the back of the pen to add a little weight and have a perfect balance for how I write. The nip is a touch soft, very easy writing and no scratching. I now see that there is no difference in any aspect of the overall quality to a full metal pen. Recommended!

Great value
A lovely pen to hold, nice and heavy. Writes very well. The only drawback is the flimsy filling mechanism - a sort of plastic Archimedes screw that does not fill the reservoir.

True medium nib!
My Jinhao Century 100 black and stone represents phenomenal value for money. The medium nib writes a true 'smooth' medium line with good flow in contrast to other Eastern offerings I have encountered which write with finer lines than the nib size stated. Very little flex in the nib. Can only vouch for my pen as QC often variable. It writes as well as some of the expensive 'big names' . The black and stone finish is similar to 1930s-1960s models from the 'old UK manufacturers'. Build quality is good. Achilles heel is likely to be the converter which are often problematic with filling/flow issues but generic substitutes are widely available. No problems with my Jinhao converter so far. Given the quality of the nib, I am not tempted to replace the nib with a German equivalent (as done previously with Jinhao). Given the price, I think it is well worth the investment to reintroduce the young to the disappearing art of cursive writing.

A good writer
I use these pens for taking to work and making notes of meetings etc. They're cheap enough that I'm not precious about them and they write perfectly well. They're a bit light and cheap-feeling though - this is a long way from a Parker Duofold, so don't expect an equivalent even if it superficially resembles one. I use it a lot though and have bought a second so I can have different inks in each.

Buy this before wasting money on the Parker Centennial
Great cheap pen, I have the parker centennial that this is based on, and writes just the same, cheaper materals, but massive savings. Highly recommend.

Lovely pen
I must confess to being a bit of a fountain pen nut. I'm constantly on the look out for good fountain pens. Bought this onion a whim. Very pleasantly surprised. Don't know why, I've bought several Jinhao fountain pens over the past couple of years and the've all performed excellently. One off the reasons I bought this particular model is because it's the spitting image of an American Conklin pen I bought last year for just North of £65! This Jinhao cost just over £18, and to be honest it's the better pen. Smoother writer and good ink flow. The Conklin can starve the nib if you write too quicklySo all in all, a lovely pen at a lovely price.
