A Reliable and Versatile Hiking Pack!
I recently purchased the Osprey Talon 22 Men's Hiking Pack, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. This pack has quickly become my go-to choice for all my outdoor adventures, and I couldn't be happier with its performance.First and foremost, the Talon 22 offers exceptional comfort. The adjustable shoulder straps and hip belt provide a snug and customized fit, allowing me to carry heavy loads without experiencing discomfort. The pack's suspension system effectively distributes the weight, ensuring that I can hike for hours without straining my back or shoulders. The organization options in this pack are outstanding. The main compartment is spacious enough to hold all my essential gear, including a hydration reservoir, extra layers, snacks, and a small camera. I appreciate the numerous pockets, both internal and external, that help me keep my belongings well-organized and easily accessible. The stretchy side pockets are perfect for stashing water bottles or even a lightweight tripod.Durability is another area where the Talon 22 shines. The pack is constructed with high-quality materials that can withstand rough terrain and the elements. I have taken it on several hikes through rocky trails, dense forests, and even in light rain, and it has held up remarkably well. One of my favourite features of this pack is its versatility. Whether I'm going on a day hike, a weekend camping trip, or even a short bike ride, the Talon 22 adapts to my needs effortlessly. The external bungee cords and attachment points allow me to carry trekking poles, water bladder, or even secure extra gear if necessary.Lastly, Osprey's attention to detail is evident throughout the Talon 22. The pack is designed with practicality in mind, with thoughtful features like the helmet attachment loop, a safety whistle on the chest strap, and a scratch-free sunglasses pocket. Additionally, the sleek and streamlined design is aesthetically pleasing, making it a stylish choice for outdoor enthusiasts. In conclusion, the Osprey Talon 22 Men's Hiking Pack is an exceptional piece of gear that delivers on all fronts. Its comfort, organization, durability, and versatility make it a reliable companion for any outdoor adventure. I highly recommend this pack to anyone in need of a reliable, well-designed, and functional hiking pack. It has certainly become an essential part of my gear collection, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase!

Great bag
I love this bag - light and comfortable and ideal for a simple hike when I don’t need much stuff. It can comfortably fit spare jumper/fleece, box of sweets for the kids and their water bottles. But the colour seems to have been discontinued for the new Talon bags - very sad. Although I am only 5 foot 9 to my surprise I found the large fitted better than the small/medium.

Comfy, stable and a good size
Purchased to replace a decade old Camelbak. Quality of this bag is excellent, materials are spot on and all the zips and straps are great. I do wish it had an extra compartment or 2 - there's just the main compartment which has a smalled zipped pocket within, a hidden rear compartment (which is somewhat hard to use if the internal zipped pocket is full as they occupy the same space) and a front stuff pocket. The bag is very comfortable with lots of adjustment available. The hip straps help to keep it secure and not moving.Point of not with Osprey bags - the hydration pouch is not included. You can use a pouch from an old bag etc but if you do not have then you need to add another £30 or so for the Hydraulics pouch. Makes it quite expensive in comparison to some other bags.Overall very pleased with this bag - it's a great size for day hikes, taking on holiday, beach trips, mountain biking etc

What you pay for is quality and practicality.
Just love it, ideal day pack.Pro's - Fantastic quality, very practical with most bases covered, lots of storage, very comfortable to wear (be very careful when choosing the size), plenty of adjustment.Con's - expensive if only to be for very casual use. Some of the storage pockets are very small eg too small for mobile phone. Not waterproof.Overall I think it is a terrific investment and should last years.

Excellent daysack..
Now that I only do short day walks I needed a smaller bag, and knew Osprey of old. This is a slightly updated bag with 1 zipped main compartment, plenty big enough for all that's needed for a good days hike. There is a smallish buckle closed stretch pocket on the front that will take a waterproof jacket and a pocket either side for a water bottle, with compression straps. Back length can be further adjusted for the perfect fit, and there is an area behind the back of the bag for a camelback, so if it leaks it won't wet any of your kit. Each side on the waist strap there is a decent sized zipped pocket, with a sternum strap to hold the shoulder straps snug. No rain cover though. Inside the main compartment is a small zipped mesh pocket with a clip for keys. There is a small zipped pocket at the top of the bag for smaller items. All in all a really good rucksack...if a little pricey.

Very comfortable, lacking a handle though
This bag is really well constructed. I took it out for multiple day hikes and it managed everything just fine. The hip strap is brilliant to take the weight of the bag off your shoulders. Some areas that could be improved.1. The hydration area is adequate, but you struggle to get the filled hydration bladder through the ‘neck’. Releasing all the straps doesn’t help, but the more often you do it, the easier it becomes.2. There is no ‘pick-up’ handle readily available. It would be nice to have a thicker handle to left the pack up.Other than that, I can see myself and this pack doing many miles together.

Quality day pack - Fits like a glove.
Can’t go wrong with this day pack. Perfect for a host of activities. More than I wanted to spend but am looking forward to years of service. Well designed and manufactured. Should have purchase hydration bladder and rain cover while I was at it.
