LEGOCreator Apple Tree House (5891) - 539 Piece set

Overall the house is fun to build and my daughter and I really enjoyed the 3 different variations available for assembly. We always end up making our own unique creations eventually, but the Creator series is always nice since LEGO takes the time to incorporate a little more building time by giving you additional detailed building directions for the alternates. The white bricks will likely get placed into our general LEGO supplies, but she already has ideas for building a new "Hall" for her castle using the blue roof bricks. Her castle, which is a hodgepodge of various LEGO sets and her own imagination is our only 'permanent' build. No one is allowed to take it a part and most new kits are immediately sized up as to how they can add to the castle.This kit will do nicely I'm sure.Pros: Lots of build time, great advanced techniques in the roofline, etcShe really likes the lawnmower and TreeCons: My daughter wishes the set had more furniture** One of the reasons she has fallen in love with the Friends line from LEGO is that even the smallest sets have chairs and tables, etc. She loves being able to populate her spaces with minifigures and furniture. She uses her minifigures as dolls and builds their world for them. I love that LEGO lets kids do this. She even uses the LEGO movie maker app on my wifes iPad to make little stop motion videos of her creations. Thanks LEGO for making my daughter so happy and thanks to Amazon for having such a great selection.

Bought this on Black Friday for $34 I think. Could not be happier! My 6 year old son and I built this together along with some other Lego sets he received for Christmas. We were able to build it with ease and had a ton of fun building this set. We've only built one of the three house styles, the one on the front of the package, so far. He loves it, especially the working garage door that he can pull his other Lego cars into to.I, personally think it only has 1 minor flaw, the 2 green platform pieces the house is on. I think they should have used 1 large piece instead for stability purposes but, I'm no Lego expert or engineer, so not sure how much truth is in that statement. All in all though, great set and highly recommend!

First of all, legos are not just for kids! I am a adult over 25 years of age. I love houses and this lego house fit the bill! I bought this lego apple house from Amazon and just love it! I got it for decorative use. Too old to play with it. I just want to say building the house was fun, challanging and ADDICTIVE! I was up close to midnight putting the house together. It was pretty easy to build. The only problem i had was the tree.The pieces kept falling off as I added more of the pieces to the tree as indicated from the manual. Very challenging and frustrating but I never gave up! Finally got all the pieces to the tree to stay together.The instruction manual is very well detailed and easy to follow. The end results to the house is beuitiful! The house sits nicely on my dresser! I have three other lego houses awaiting in their boxes. I will start the addictive fun soon again!

We bought this Lego Set for my 7 year old daughter for Christmas. She likes legos, but most of the sets didn't interest her. With the lego set she does have, she mainly builds houses. When I saw this set, I knew it would be perfect for her.She loves it. We worked together to set it up- the instructions were easy to follow and I know eventually she will get the confidence to design her own houses. This set is really adorable, lots of details that my daughter really appreciates.

I have 3 of the smaller Creator vehicles for my just-turned-4 year old son. He loves to just put together the 3 different kinds of vehicles each product makes over and over again. When I saw that they also had houses in this series, I made sure to get it for him for his 4th birthday. He loves it! If your child is like mine and likes the process of putting these together, the variety of doing 3 of these with instructions they can follow really makes it 3 products in one. Even if your child likes to keep it together and play with it once it's done, that's still 3 different buildings that are great to pretend with. On top of that my son likes to customize them once they are built, which allow for even more variety.Definitely recommend this product, considering it's a very good price for 3 products!

What can I say - another fantastic lego toy. Besides going in the great outdoors to play with rocks, sticks, and water, legos are the best inside toys. They teach kids to create on their own and concentrate. I got this set for my daughter. Please don't forget about the girls - they love legos also - especially the house items. Another great idea is to go to ebay and bricklink and get used food items for legos, for example little apples, chicken, etc. - kids love those individual items that usually only come in sets but you can get the separate pieces through these websites.

I bought the tree house as a Christmas gift for my granddaughter. She just turned seven and this is well within her ability to construct. There are page by page instructions, well illustrated, to ensure a successful outcome. Each of our visits includes another layer of construction. She's learning that her continued efforts will not only build this a cute little play house, but she's seeing first hand the importance of attention to detail and gaining cooperative learning skills as well. Very pleased!!

I purchased this for my 7yr old daughter who likes to play with her older brother's set. I couldnt find a decent well reviewed pink set of leggo that would challenge her. This set included that plans for 3 different house styles. The roof lifts off and it you have little leggo figures you can build it and play in it. The lawn mower, mailbox, apple tree and basketball court are cool things kids identify with.This was an expensive set but I beleive it will engage her imagination and give her many more hours of fun.
