Where can I get a replacement bag?

You can use any trash liner that will fit in the bin. I think we're using 33 gallon size. As a side note, the manual says there are hooks/tabs inside the bin that are there to hold the liner, but we found it easier to drape the liner over the bin itself. It doesn't look as pretty, but it minimizes the shredded paper that ends up on the floor.

What is the warranty time period by the manufacturer?

I purchased C149-D and while the warranty was stated in the Instruction Manual there was no information as to how to return the item or how to contact customer service (instructions state to call Customer Service). Did anyone else have the same experience with the documentation? I thought that was a little odd so I contacted Amazon and was told that the warranty is usually upheld with the manufacturer but if they are unwilling to work with you, Amazon will generally work with you to honor the warranty. I will rely on Amazon's assurance as I want to give this shredder a try.

will it shred cardboard?

I have a different shredder ( commercial one ) for the cardboard boxes ( we add the shreddings to the compost ). Our commercial shredder is 15 years old and still works - I would not shred the cardboard in the regular shredder regardless of the size of the shredder opening )
