Was skeptical; but not anymore.
I was surprised at the quality of material, engineering and construction. It was easy to install the small T-bolts onto my roof rack and to install the angle bracket. Then install of the main bag assembly to the bracket. Follow provided instructions for use. But be careful not to open the zippers too far as they get stuck. Get a couple mini snap links to keep the canopy support bars connected to the terminal header, as they came loose in a heavy breeze. The tent spikes are a honking 1/4” thick steel! (See all of the pictures). If you’re on the fence, just go for it, this thing’s amazing! It Does have the groove for a screen attachment!

100 PERCENT HAPPY!
Excellent price (119.00 open box)Showed up 4 days early.GREAT quality.I've had a few "budget awnings but this one is by far the best. I had issues finding a mounting option that worked for me but I have a brain and was bale to figure it out. luckily ALL i needed were the 2 L brackets. The build quality is good and VERY solid.I have seen several bad reviews but they are definitely from people who1 don't know how to make/build/fix or fabricate things (no problem solving skills)2 Don't know how to tie down an awning, a tent or canopy correctly.I am 100 percent impressed and happy with my purchase.an 8.2X6.5 heavy duty car awning for 119.00 dollars.... COME ON!!!! LETS GOOOOO!

Perfect addition to my SUV
A fantastic addition to my Hyundai Santa Fe! I purchased post bags to wrap around the supports when I don't have access to a soft surface to put the stakes in the ground. Easy put up and take down. Provides great shade and seems pretty good in low wind conditions. Definitely do not put it out in high winds. The aluminum will bend easily. It does great when going through the carwash. I ended up drilling through my cross beams on my roof rack and putting hearty bolts with locking nuts to secure it to my car.

Really good for the price
Shopped around for awhile to find a good awning for my ML350 and landed on this one. For the price it is quite good. It comes with lots of hardware options for mounting to your roof rack- I went with the T bolts which fit my cross bars BUT the T bolts that you are supposed to use to mount the awning to the supports do not fit in the space in the awning. They are just a touch too large to get into the slots. Not sure if they included the wrong size or if the mounting bracket on the back of the awning wasn’t machined out correctly. I think I could have Dremmeled them to fit but I happened to have some bolts in the right size so I didn’t bother. It’s a pain in the ass to set up solo but since it is just me I cursed and kicked my way through it and figured out a way that works for me. It would be MUCH easier with two adults but it is possible to do it solo. The install was simple enough with 1 adult- I didn’t find myself wanting another set of hands. It came well packed though there are a couple dings in the cover and some bends in the aluminum frame but they don’t affect the set up and aren’t visible once it is up so I didn’t try to bother with a return. 1 change I would suggest is make it so that the legs on the end of the awning can lock in position. Clearly you can lock the length but at the base they swing back and forth freely which makes it unnecessarily hard to put up.

It's decent for the price, and it has good things and bad things
To start off with...the reputable brands have switched to black awnings, which makes absolutely no sense to me! You're trying to shield yourself from the sun, and create a cooler space for you to hang out, but they are using the most sun absorbing color that exists. Huh.This awning is lightweight, and I love that the tie down straps clip on with a carabiner and they go down to two separate stakes on each side. That is how things should be staked down. I've had single staked out awnings ripped out before. The bad thing is that the awning material is already showing wear and tear after very minimal usage. The material of the awning isn't heavy duty and it clearly wasn't designed to withstand even minimal usage...as in being used 4 times.

Good awning
Love the awning. Perfect size for my suburban. The two different sets of T bolts that came with it were the wrong size but, nothing a grinder couldn't fix. Good quality. Would highly recommend

None of the hardware was usable.
My handyman had to make 2 trips for new hardware to make this awning work. Brackets and hardware did not align. I would not recommend for someone to purchase unless you're super creative in making things work
