COOL! Fantastic under lead or layers!
For those who work in lead!! Doctors, techs, nurses, etc...I wore a small and am about 5'5".Under 2-piece lead and a surgical gown, this thing performs so well! Bulks a little more, but it's tolerable, and fairly flexible (maybe not if you're under 5'/petite?)TOTALLY WORTH IT if you get toasty and sweaty under the layers. Yes, it adds one, but it's chill and reduces your sweat level. Worth it.It definitely lasts for the entire 4 hours...but only that. From a long recharge(which is more than the advertised recharge - meaning kept in the fridge/freezer overnight) it lasts 3.5-4 hours. The advertised recharge will only get you another 2ish hours. Would consider buying an extra set of packs.Bought because there were few ice packs/pockets and they were slim(~1/2"). Covered critical core cooling areas and was a short length(so I could wear kilt over my hips)

Cool …
After approximately 1 hour in 100 plus degree weather it was not staying cold. The pack became liquid and the vest was soaked in sweat.I like it’s design conceptI like that it has two phase change packsI’m undecided on how durable this will be all summer working at a fast and fluid pace.It looks okay if worn under a shirt or a safety vest.It would be really helpful if there were ways to attach accessories at work: barcode scanner, water bottle, et cetera. I wonder if Ergodyne will come out with a new version that has d rings or Molle webbing.I dislike the inflexibility to user adjust the waist and shoulder elastic. (It only goes together a specific way; very little in way to personalize)I dislike the ‘crinkly sound’ coming from the vest itself.I dislike that it only comes in orange or khaki. I would be happier with more colors such as yellow, blue, green, redI would like to see low visibility reflective piping added.I would like to see Ergodyne go back to the design concept and integrate actual styling cues rather than basic utilitarian features. My employer has a dress code so there is a narrow window to show my personality

Game changer for working in the heat!
This cooling vest is a game changer for working in the heat. I put it in the freezer the night before, and pull it out and put it in the truck the next morning. My only areas for improvement that I can think of that I have noticed are: I washed the liner in the washing machine according to the instructions shipped with the vest. The Velcro band across the front of the vest came unstitched. I had to hand sew it back on. I have washed it again - and this time washed with the front and back pieces separated - and one of them I placed into a webbed laundry bag so that they wouldn't hang on each other's Velcro. Seems ok now.

Cooling but not for long
Still not sure how I feel about this product. Definitely does not last 4 hours, after which it feels gross and starts to smell. It freezes again fast though Im usually not able to do this since I'm wearing under a costume, so I'm not sure if it's doing more harm than good.

Keeps me cool for hours when I Umpire behind the Plate..
I like that it cools both sides of your core at the same time. It fits great and fits well under my Umpiring Chest Protector. It does not take long to recharge the cooling ability of Vest.

to much trouble , becomes a insulator when it stops working
NEW REVIEW ++ the vest doesn't cool for that long on a 90 degree day and once it stops working it just becomes an insulator maybe if you didn't have to move around while wearing it , maybe if you had a frezzer to swap out the packs every hour ,

Santa was 'really cool', thanks to his vest
I wore it yesterday in 75 degree weather, under my Santa belly padding and a 3/4 length suit. I was much cooler than all of the people who came to Santa at a Street Fair. The 'cool' lasted for over 3.5 hours and would have lasted longer, buy my gig was up.

finally able to mow in the summer
I am very sensitive to heat and have a lot of trouble doing anything outdoors in the summer, however, the grass insists on growing. Wearing this vest enables me to mow my entire yard at once without having to stop every 15 minutes to cool off. It was never freezing cold as an ice pack would be, just comfortably cool. When I took it off after 2.5 hours, it was almost totally melted, but still felt cool. I was actually quite damp but never noticed (I would have been sweating a lot more without it.)Only negative aspect is that it is bulky and heavy, but totally worth it for the comfortable temperature!
