My pcie is covered by the gpu, will this work on a standar pce slot on my b450 board? thanks.

The heat sink on this should face down away from the GPU. I know what you mean re the fit in the top PCIe, (where my Realtek unit is now), but on the B450M-A at least, there are 2 PCIs and so it may well fit in the lower one.

Why this would make my connection slow please? My old one was giving me about 6mbps, I'm getting 0.25mbps with this. I've installed & updated drivers

This Wifi Card actually improved my connection alot. I used to get around 30 and 40 mbps now i get between 120 and 160 mbps. My router is not in the same room it's actually upstairs. Check the antennas are screwed in properly and are tight but don't over tighten them as it could damage the threads. When i first set it up when i moved the antennas into position i wanted them to remain in they became loose.

Anyone having issues with downloaded drivers failing and needing to be reinstall each day?

The Wifi works fine but since buying this in September my Bluetooth seemingly always "malfunctions" every few days and constantly needing a manual reinstall just to use my controller, and this is on multiple Windows 10 installs. Very tiresome. Do be weary of this

Yes it will work with that motherboard, there is a space to plug it in under the PCI express. Also this network card is brilliant. Totally recommended it, used it for several months flawlessly.
