Detailed and understanding!
Super descriptive book, great for those who struggle a bit in math! It tells you everything you need and with real world examples, it's even better!

Well organized & kid friendly
Very well organized. Fits the Pre Alg curriculum nicely. Easy for kids to learn and then practice without the busy work of extra problems.

yes! engaging, simple to understand, content laid out systematically
I ordered 5-6 Algebra 1 review books for my student to use for practice & reinforcement before taking her final Algebra exam, and also to fill in gaps on topics her teacher didn't cover. This is the best book of the lot! It is well laid out, engaging and interactive, the color schemes facilitate comprehension, and fits the bill in every way. It clearly lays out the need-to-know content, appropriately builds from one skill to the next, and provides a few practice problems with detailed explanations for each. The only topic I didn't find it to cover is piece wise functions. There are some practice problems but not a ton. If you're wanting repetition of lots of practice problems, this is not it.If you want to cover the material, ensure you have comprehension, and practice each topic, especially in an interactive and friendly format, then this is it. If you want to learn something that you missed or that the teacher didn't cover, this is it. Don't waste your money on the other books out there.

Excellent for self teaching
My grandson asked for this book in the 4th grade. Thought it would be a waste of money, but had no idea how important this book was. He took it to school everyday and taught himself during class time when he had his 4th grade work completed. If was unsure how to do something, he would ask his teacher. If she was unsure, you would have him contact the math teacher at the high school. During the summer prior to the 8th Grade he took geometry on line. In the 8th grade he took Algebra with the sophomores. In the 9th grade he is taking Advanced Algebra and Statistics with the seniors.

Accuracy Errors. Basics are fine
Books good if you want basics. Errors throughout book on answers. Go to page 147. Number 9 and 10 are completely butt wrong. Literally also an error on page 5 on the Venn diagram of numbers. “Nunbers” lmao

Good book. Poor handling
4.5 starsI just got the book, skimmed through it, and liked the contents.Minus half a star for the book condition. All the corners are bent and ripped for a new book. I hate to go through the hassle of returning it, so I’m going tape up the corners before they get worse.
