This Histafen cream worked immediately & was very helpful in calming my skin. It also smells nice, was smooth to the touch & a little went a long way. I will buy again as needed. Received my order quickly.

Directions say only apply a thin layer to combat itchy skin. I’ve found that works just fine. It does have an unusual aroma, but it’s a clean scent that disappears after it’s sunk in.

This is one of the most soothing, cooling creams that I've found. It really does give me instant relief from hives and eczema. But the relief is short-lived and not dramatic. I don't think it actually blocks histamine or works to the source of whatever is causing my hives. If you read the ingredients, it is an assorted combination of herbs that seem to mostly have anti-inflammatory and other skin-soothing properties. There's nothing wrong with that, but it doesn't warrant the lofty benefits that the product description implies. And it's expensive for such a little bottle. Still, I keep re-ordering just because it's a nice temporary relief when I need it.

I purchased this out of the deepest desperation to quell an itch from a crazy, decades-long, undiagnosed recurring rash-type situation. Even after dealing with it in various forms for more than 2 decades, the only thing I know for sure about what I have is that stress exacerbates it. So.many.things. are exacerbated by stress, it's been nearly impossible to figure out. So, since I have no idea what I'm trying to treat, I didn't expect miracles, I was hoping it would just help in conjunction with my other treatments.I'm all about homeopathy, but usually my skin conditions are so severe, I need to use it in conjunction with pharmaceutical relief to make any sort of progress to healing. However, this morning when one of my worse areas starting itching, I grabbed this just to stop myself from scratching and, within seconds, it was under control. However, over a few days, it's also seemed to have made another area worse. So, like almost everything else I've tried, this is hit or miss as well.I do love essential oils and work them them daily, which is part of why I gravitated to this. I wish the blend were a bit more balanced as it's just very clove-forward. Clove, particularly, is a very strong scent and can overpower other things very fast. I was hoping this would be more lavender/peppermint forward since they're listed before the woodier ones (fennel, clove, thyme, rosemary), but the woody come through the most. I don't hate it, just be aware of that. It's not horribly strong, nor does it linger, but it affected my rating as I expected a better balance.A little goes a very long way with this and it has a nice slip (water is the first ingredient), so I was happy to see that, considering the small jar wasn't what I would call 'inexpensive.' The blue tansy does impart a blueberry/grey hue to the cream, I don't know if it shows in photos. All in all, I like this as a final moisturizing step after my multi-step relief process, and I'll use it while it's in my arsenal (unsure if I'd repurchase, but leaning toward no), but just go into this knowing what you're buying.

One of my kids breaks out with hives on face and chest after bathing, showering or swimming. Possibly chlorine. This cream really helps. It’s not completely gone but she doesn’t look miserable when coming out and is able to take normal showers more regularly instead of jumping through a bunch of hoops with drinking water and swim in pools. Great addition to our regimen.

Just didn’t help the itching at all.

I suddenly had an unbelievable rash up my arms that inched beyond anything I can remember. The crash also extended to my legs. I tried everything to stop the itching. This took care of all itching and finally relief.

I have strong reactions to mosquito bites, seasonal allergens, and I also sometimes get very itchy and irritated skin when I get out of the shower. For years I have never known if I would come out of the shower so itchy I would scratch welts into my legs. Filtering my water helped, but I could still have the reaction. Not anymore with Histafen cream. I put some of this on right after I get out of the shower and it prevents the itching like nothing ever has. It's amazing!!I also use it on mosquito bites. when they start to itch I put a dab on there and the bite calms right down.I like the herbal, greenery scent of the cream, but I can understand it might not be for everyone.
