Simply a great knife
This knife is a workhorse. The non-slip handle fits the hand well. The blade is very sharp and seems to maintain its sharpness well, especially when you give it a couple of swipes with a hone before use, and so far, I have not had to use a whetstone on it. It works equally well for larger items, such as steaks and russet potatoes, and more delicate dicing work.I bought the Victorinox 8" chef's knife because almost every review I read on "best chef's knife" listed it as the best knife you can get for the price. I also bought the 5" chef's knife which has similar attributes but is more maneuverable for smaller jobs.

Perfect for beginners!
This is a great starter knife for anyone getting into cooking! Extremely sharp out of the box, light and easy to use. Handle feels great in the hand. Much cheaper to purchase one of these and figure out what you do or don’t like and make future knife purchases based on that.I’ve used it on meat, veggies, etc and it works effortlessly. I recommend buying a sheath to protect it wherever you store it in your kitchen.

Great knife
Excellent knife! It is perfect for any cook. It may not have a very fancy handle or the looks for social media posts, but it does what it is supposed to do: cut food and stay sharp. Everything else is superfluous.

Great knife
I have this knife in a few sizes, and it's my go-to for knife gifts for my nieces and nephews as they graduate college. It's one of the best value knives you can buy - not overly expensive to where you're afraid to use it, but not so cheap that it doesn't hold an edge. It's a perfect balance with a great grip and durable blade that will serve you well for years if you take care of it.

Good knife, nice value
After 50+years in the kitchen and experimenting with chef knives, this is a keeper. Good balance, sharp edge comfortable handle. Blade itself is a bit unstable in stress cuts, wobbles, but small amount and easy enough to adjust. Quality product at a very reasonable price.

Great Knife for Winter Squashes
Sharpest Knife I've ever owned and fits perfectly in my hand. Great to prepare butternut and other winter squashes and kohlrabi. Absolutely love it.

excellent chef's knife
I've had 4-5 of these over the years. They're very good, especially for the price. This used to be my favorite chef's knife, until I bought a Shun. This can't compare to that, but for the price it's a great everyday knife. I use it for cutting thick-skinned things like squash and watermelon that might be too much for the Shun. It's light and easy to handle, and the Fibrox handle gives me a secure grip even when my hands and the handle are wet.
