2015 Equinox, but has a second air hose attached to cover
Bought this for a 2015 Equinox 2.4L. It is supposedly the replacement for A3138c (the ACDelco # provided in owner’s manual), although A3138c is still sold on Amazon, and both filters look the same except for the rim color (orange vs black). The filter is fine, and fits fine, so no concerns there. My only concern with installation is that my vehicle has a second hose attached to the cover that the owner’s manual pictures don’t show (picture attached with hose circled). I also watched many videos on replacement and none of them had this extra hose. I replaced the filter anyway by loosening the metal band around the flexible duct and sliding the duct off. Then I disconnected the Mass Air Flow electrical connector by pulling back the orange clip, then pressing down the black button, and it easily pulls off. (Google “How to Replace Air Filter 10-17 Chevy Equinox - YouTube” to find the video). The remaining hose (circled) is long and flexible, so left it attached and just moved the cover out of the way. Afterwards I finally found an older video that shows this second hose and how to easily disconnect the "quick connect fitting" to remove it. So if yours looks like mine, Google “DIY How To Install Engine Air Filter 2010-2012 Chevy Equinox - YouTube”. Just squeeze the black plastic clip together at the top and bottom (right next to the white dab of paint), and pull off the hose. Then slide it back on all the way until it clicks. All of the videos say the screws are torx head, so you can’t use a regular screwdriver. However, mine are also hexagon shaped, and a ¼” nut driver works fine.P.S: That additional hose is a Secondary Air Injection Pump Inlet Hose, associated with PZEV emissions. Sorry, I can’t include specific website addresses for the two YouTube videos because Amazon will not post a review if it contains that information.

Perfect for my 2015 Chevy Equinox 2.4L
Finding this air filter for a reasonable cost at the local auto parts store was getting harder. They never seem to be in stock. This fit our 2015 Chevy Equinox 2.4L four cylinder perfectly.

Great OEM replacement filter. This is a task that I take on annually. By using a quality filter like this and doing the job myself, I save time and money. And... I know it's done right. It took five minutes (maybe). Easy Peasy.
