Great Product. Indispensable Tool
I have been needing this for years and finally broke down and bought one. I am so glad I did. It is small and very manageable, but very powerful. It's first job was to clean a log home that had years of dust, cob webs and soot. It made the job doable and so much easier than the other options we had tried. The speed and thoroughness of the cleaning was amazing. I also used the blower part to clean the long drive up to the log home! Indispensable tool for the home owner. We also have five cats- all in door, which is the bonus use benefit! I look forward to using it for years to come.

Best vac I've ever owned.... BUY IT.
PROS; small/short, easy to store, powerful, does not tip over when pulled around, high quality hose and attachments unlike the cheaper version sold at mega home improvement stores. Long cord rocks, plus when it is wrapped up you can still easily (one handed) remove the motor assembly with the cord attached. Cord caddy has one retainer that rotates for easy unwinding of the entire cord also.CONS; my blower assembly has a slight rattle in it when I rotate it, sounds like a small metal screw or plastic clip rattling around in there. Does NOT negatively affect it's performance so I'm not returning it. LOUD. Does not have a diffuser for the exhaust port which I will be buying one.Bottom line, BUY IT.

... also came with the 1-7/8 flexible hose and a better filter. I popped the wheels off and it ...
I have purchased many ridgid shop vacs as it is my go to brand. Right now I have 3 in my basement and 1 in my garage. I also have one i left at my rental property for the tenets to use. The only issue I have ever had out of any of them is a wheel broke. I bought this specifically to work with my mitre saw. I wanted something with good power but with a small tank because it does not produce a tremendous amount of dust. This was almost too powerful because it was pulling in a vinyl flap that was their to direct air flow. I ended up ripping it off . This little vac works great. I dont picture myself using the leaf blower option but it is always possible.

NO PRO-HOSE IN MY BOX
Vacuum is decent overall, thinner plastic than I had hoped, dinky swivel wheels that are definitely not very rugged... Unfortunately I did not receive the Durable Pro-Hose with mine, instead I recieved the cheap black version, definitely disappointed as I specifically chose this vacuum over others for the durable hose.ALSO------ TYPICALLY HALF THE PRICE FROM HOME DEPOT.... Overpriced on Amazon!!!

Good vacuum
Good vacuum for its size and small enough to roll around the house and garage easily. Filter is removable and affordable to change or clean. The hose is not very heay duty but is reasonable for use around the house.

Great Power In A Compact Easy To Move Around Size
I bought this for auto detailing. The size is very compact, which makes it easy to move around. The blower works pretty good, although I didn't need that option and don't have a use for it, but I have used it to blow out the garage. The blower is not as powerful as a gas blower that I have, but its not bad.I have used this for cars and soaking up water and it does great. This might not be quite as strong as a 6hp with a bigger hose... but it does really good with a very compact size. I did buy an extension hose at home depot. So now I have an 18ft hose and the suction is still really good.

In the past I have bought Shop Vac by brand--since ...
In the past I have bought Shop Vac by brand--since they are the ones who evidently pioneered the "shop vac." However, the Ridgid shop vac is much more sturdily built, and the hose is of commercial quality. The hose of Shop Vac vacuums are so thin that they crimp ever time it is used and the power cord is ridiculously short, necessitating an extension cord for even the smallest project. The hose of the Ridgid shop vac will never crimp, and the power cord is very long--long enough to use without an extension cord for most projects.I wouldn't even consider buying another Shop Vac in the future. Ridgid has taken their idea and created a much more functional and higher-quality product.
