My Second Chromebook
I bought this to replace my trusted 2014 HP Chromebook, which worked brilliantly until I accidentally destroyed it in the most hilarious way possible (it ended up in a load of laundry). My desktop PC does all my heavy lifting, and this Chromebook is just perfect for everything else. Great battery life, a decent keyboard, and a great price make this an excellent alternative to tablets for those who, like me, are accident-prone and who dislike touchscreen interfaces. It's not the most rugged machine ever, and it does suffer some serious slowdown on various websites or if too many tabs are open (it really seems to hate Flash, even with a Flash-disabling tool installed). But it's very portable, lightweight, and suitable for everyday browsing. Ideal for kids, students, and seniors, or as a second laptop that can be easily used around the house.

This computers does this wonderfully, I have had no problem with this computer ...
I bought this computer for my college classes. I needed a computer that was able to stream google Docs. and research quick enough to keep up with classroom discussions. This computers does this wonderfully, I have had no problem with this computer running everything i need it to run, witch includes around 2 google docs. pages, at least 4 research pages and my pandora. This laptop runs all of that without any kind of trouble. the wake up is under 10 seconds and the shut down takes only 3 seconds. I purchased the wifi version instead of the LTE version just to specify. The one question I did not find the answer to on this page or googles, is how good is the battery life. I can tell you truthfully that I would not be afraid of taking this computer to school without the charger because the battery is that good. On a 100% charge the computer tells me i have just under 8 hours left. but you can stretch that for as long as you need because the shutdown and startup are so quick. I have gone to a total of 32, two and one half hour classes on one complete charge to dead. The only thing that I would like changed is the storage. 16 gb of storage is not a lot, even if you have the terabyte of cloud storage, this does not help with apps. I reached my limit rather quickly, but this does not bother me so much because I can have the apps on my smart phone instead and this is my second computer. I purchased this as my portable note taker and researcher when I cant use my desktop. I could not find a better students laptop for students. I also found the stamp on the bottom of my computer that tells me that this is indeed a g4 edition. hope this helps and sorry it is long.

Work great after computer fixed itself
Bought this for my son who needs it for school since they have standardized on Chromebooks for the district. The HP is a pretty good unit for the price compared to comparable ones offered by Dell and ASUS. We only had issues with it while trying to set it up for the first time. The unit kept rebooting and asking for the password and internet connection. I thought something was wrong with the unit we received. We kept playing with it and searched the Internet to figure out if there were others with this problem. Eventually the issue went away after a week or two. I am speculating that there were some updates to the operating system the computer was trying to install that was affecting its ability to connect to the Internet and download the patch. It probably timed out and rebooted itself until it was successful. Don't know for sure. But after all that frustration, the computer has been working fine ever since.

Returning ASAP
Very skinny and small computer so it fits into my purse easily!! I;m super over having a briefcase! The keypads are the bomb!! Like butter. You seriously can just tap each key and words on the screen appear! I thought the best ergonomic laptop. WRONG!! The mouse pad is nice and the cursor is smooth but OMG let me tell you about L and R clicking!!! I dread every time I have to click guys!!! Like OMG it's painful.Like I've only had this computer for 24 hours, and after 10 minutes I immediately purchased another one. I will be returning this one STAT. Also, no word/powerpoint. This is a real live GSuite computer. I don't even think I can download anything on here.No caps lockno left click to spell check

Love it
This is my first chromebook experience so I tried an inexpensive one just in case I hated it. This is the easiest thing to get up and running that I have ever seen. I had been using a chrome browser on my old machine so when I logged into google everything was just as I had left it! I even like the small size now that I have gotten used to it. I can actually use it on my lap! It doesn't get hot and the battery lasts about 8 hours. The speakers aren't all that good but but it is equipped with bluetooth so that is not a problem. For the price, the quality of the machine itself is very good. Nothing fancy but seems very durable. It is not a PC or Mac but it does everything I need it to do and I am very satisfied with it. I am impressed with the solid state drive. No noisy harddrive! With SD slot and usb, who needs one.

Good for surfing or doing Google doc... not much else
It works, but I found that you cannot install ANYTHING onto this. No Microsoft office, no games, no software. It's just chrome OS and Google Docs. It works fine if all you do is surf the web or only use Google Docs for work/ school, but I wouldn't pay $200+ for it when my cell phone from 2014 can do more for less than this. Because I have a real laptop now, I have also found that there is ZERO resale value in these things, so it's just sitting collecting dust. I'd skip this and save up to buy a solid laptop.
