I got this lamp as I wanted one for doing nails and other art projects like making jewelry as well as writing and drawing. The lighting can be changed to warm to cool or mix depending on what is needed for the project. It also works wonderfully, and is easy to set up and has been able to fit into my room great.

1) I cannot believe the exceptional quality for the low price! 2) Meets all my lighting needs, even the ones I didnt know I had. I originally purchased this to use as my "makeup" light for my makeshift vanity. The different settings make it ideal for getting ready. I recently used it to work on my laptop at night. It was perfect for low, warm, lighting that was gentle on my eyes and didn't annoy my husband. 😬 3) I'm obsessed with Amazon shopping. My hubby just shakes his head at most of my purchases; however, he has found the flexibility of the arm to be ultra convenient! Not to mention the remote comea in handy! I plan on buying one for all of the bedrooms in our home. Super happy!

It's a great lamp. Good lighting for reading and crocheting, easy to use, works great, no flickering, my 1 and only complaint is the base design. It looks from the pics that I can slide the base under my sofa but u cant. Now I dont know where to put it because it won't fit where I wanted it.

This lamp has worked great! I've had it for two months now, using it primarily for when I crochet. I can increase or dim the brightness based on my needs. My daughter liked it so much when she was over she ordered her own.It is lightweight enough to move around from room to room if I want, but not so lightweight it would easily tip over.

I don't write reviews, but I just had to write one about this wonderful light! I was looking for a floor light with variable light intensity to use when I'm doing handwork. This is exactly what I wanted--and the price point was perfect! It is easy to put together--no tools necessary. It has a heavy base which works even on carpet! And it has a remote control!

Cons first, since that's what most folks are interested in:I wish the very high end of the brightness got about 20% brighter. But, honestly, it's not necessary.Pros:The lamp is easy to assemble, I even have one that I took with me in a cross-country move where I disassembled it and folded it back up to put in its original box (which is very tight packaging, but getting it back into it is manageable).It's pretty sturdy. The bottom weighted plate is appropriately heavy such that it won't easily fall over just from bumping it.From an engineering perspective: they use a clever system where the cord for the top part just passes through the hollow tubing and out the back side of the tubing (not through the base), which means that the cord inside doesn't necessarily get all twisted when you thread the tubes together. Speaking of: the threading on the tubes is nice and deep. I don't feel like it will strip out easily. The tubes are surprisingly robust, they're thicker than I expected (which is a good thing).I LOVE the magnetic remote. It's a little quirky because the up/down rocker changes the light mode and left/right is for decreasing/increasing the brightness (my brain wants it to be the other way around). I love that it's magnetic because I use a couple of these at different desks, both of which have metal brackets underneath. I just put the remote on the metal bracket under the desk (magnet) and then I always know where it is.I can't give a fair review of the lighting presets because I honestly never use them. Some folks might like them.The gooseneck is easy enough to adjust, but firm enough to not sag or flop all over the place. One of mine is multiple years old and still functions like the day I unboxed it (with the original battery in the remote, too).Bonus dimensions:From the floor to where the gooseneck starts is about 45". The gooseneck itself is ~14", and the light bar is just shy of 10" (25cm). The diameter of the base is 8.5", and it's probably about 1.5" thick.

I have bought a second one of these floor lamps and will buy another.They work great with different settings and a remote.Take up little space and can bend when needed light onto something else. Price is great.Highly revommend.
