Q: Does this required to work on some special brand gel polish?

No. I use CND Shellac, OPI Gel Polish, SoGel hard gel, and some other random brands that I have. So far it works really great on everything.

Q: Is it worth the purchase?

Yes, I have used it in my nail salon for 3 years, still works well no problem.Worth every pennies.

Q: hard to start UV lamp and to keep it on?

Very easy lamp to operate. It is easy to start, and has pre set timers of 10s, 30s or 60s the timer will do a count down and then turn off. Also has a default process that lasts for 120s, all you do is place your hand under the lamp, there is a sensor in the lamp and if you do not select one of the timers it will automatically start up and counts out to 120, if you remove you hand it turns off.

Q: Recently, I found my hands are getting tanned. It is really bothers me, does anyone same with me? how does everyone solve this?

Yes, frequently doing nail arts without protective measures can really tanning your skin, I suggest you can wear a pair of UV glove, after doing nails, you can take off the UV gloves,and apply some hand cream to make your hand keep the skin soft and hydrate.
