The Best Belt On the Market With a Caveat
I have been looking to replace my belts which were peeling off in sections after being in use after 10 years. I needed to find a good set of belts to replace those ones. As I begin to research I came across the Mission Belt. I shuddered when I looked at the price of this belt since I could buy 3 regular belts for that price. So I took a chance and bought just one pair to see if this belt does really do what it says and if it is worth the money. When the belt came, I immediately put it on and then read the instructions (I guess men only look to read the instructions only after things go wrong ;) to get themselves out of the mess). I struggled to get the belt loose the first time but once you read the instruction, you will know how to release the belt from the buckle. PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE YOU PUT ON THE BELT!!! I love the fact that this belt does not have punch holes but tightens every 1/4th of an inch. The Mission Belt is awesome and is of fine craftsmanship and of quality and I would greatly recommend that you go buy one for yourself and check it out. If you don't like it, you can always send it back and get your money back. The only downside to this belt is the heavy buckle. Now if they could bring that price down to about $25, this would be the best belt in the world. I have since ordered two more belts in different colors from Mission Belt directly because they sent a 10% off coupon. Go get one and you will not regret it.Update 12/17/2015The belt has cracked in a couple of places on the inside not even lasting 18 months. Granted that I used this belt quite regularly but this has become an expensive endeavor for it to last not even two years. I am shocked that the belt would crack in two places. Unless you are willing to buy more belts and not use them on a continual basis (instead on a rotating basis), you will be spending $35 (minimum) a pop every 18 months or so. For that reason, I am very disappointed in a product that I wholeheartedly endorsed. I am dropping my rating from five stars down to three stars for this reason. My $11 belt from a local department store lasted me more than 5 years which makes me wonder if I ended up with a bad apple here. I do not know if anyone else has had a similar experience on this front. Be forewarned that it might happen to you and so please buy with caution.Update December 22, 2015I emailed a couple of photographs of the cracked belt to Mission Belt at [email protected] and I got a response within 24 hours. They asked for my order number and where I purchased it and when I emailed that information. They requested confirmation of my address which I promptly sent them. Today, I received a brand new belt to replace that cracked one at no cost to me. That is customer service. They do stand behind their belts with a lifetime guarantee. That is a product that I now can buy not only with confidence but recommend to anyone who needs one to buy it whole-heartedly.

These are great belts
I’ve been buying these belts ever since I saw them on shark tank years ago. I’ve bought a few in different colors to match with certain pants/suits/shoes. One of my belts lasted so long. Much longer than a traditional belt. Sure you can buy a very expensive traditional belt that may last long but why when I can buy these? They look good, easy to put on/take off, price is great for the quality and they last long. The last one that I just threw out lasted almost 10 years. I’m telling you, you won’t be disappointed.

Best Belt I've ever worn!
In case you don’t want to read through the whole synopsis, the quick and dirty of it all is: I will never buy another brand of belt again. When I opened the package I was a little surprised how big the buckle was. I was expecting something slightly smaller. Naturally I’m starting to think of cowboys and their large belt buckles displaying their greatness in mutton busting or calf roping. However after trying on the belt, it neither feels nor looks large. The construction of the buckle feels solid and quality appears sound. The leather of the belt is nice and flexible. Most belts I’ve purchased in the past are stiff and take some getting use to as you break them in. Although the Mission belt is new and somewhat stiff, I don’t get that stiff awkward feel when wearing it. The multi-position function of the belt makes it easy to get the correct tension and snugness around your waist without trying to bend the belt back against itself and the buckle to find the hole for the pin as with other belts. Also, with the multi-position function the belt is never too tight nor too loose, even after a large lunch I can adjust the belt for comfort with a slight motion of the thumb. While inspecting the buckle I noticed that the release lever moves fluid and got concerned that the spring that provides tension on the lever will wear out. However, there is no spring. The tension on the lever is provided by a small but powerful magnet. Yes a magnet that will never wear out. The belt length was a little too long, by 2 inches, for my taste, so I quickly disconnected the buckle from the belt, cut off two inches and re-attached the buckle to the belt, all within 30 seconds! I’ve never been able to do that with any other belt I’ve owned. That brings me to my next point, purchasing just the buckle or just the belt. With being able to remove the buckle you can order many colors of belt and just attach the same buckle to each. The other quality that I’ve noticed is the silence when taking the belt on and off. With all my other belts there is a clank, clank, clank as the pin of the buckle taps against the buckle. This is the point when my wife wakes up in the morning as she is hearing the clank, clank of my belt going on. No more clank, clank with the Mission belt. Silence is all I hear. The price of the mission belt was a little higher than I usually spend on a belt, but with all the comforts and benefits I feel it is worth it. In summary, as in the first sentence of this review, I will never purchase another brand of belt again.
