I have been looking for a machine like this for years. I got quotes for other ones for thousands of dollars and they were just too big for home use. But this little 44 lb/day machine works great!It does require a drain, which is unfortunate. I just use a small bucket that I empty about once a week. It’s too bad that it doesn’t recycle this water like other machines, but it isn’t a big deal to me.The quality of ice is top notch. I have had the Opal nugget ice machine, Mueller nugget ice machine and other less popular brands as well. This one tops them for production, ice quality, performance and I have high hopes in its reliability.It is a bit noisy, if you were to have it in your home kitchen. They are more so made for commercial or restaurants. But they are very cost effective, and I highly recommend them if you don’t mind a little noise and have a drain and water supply.I installed an inline filter on my supply line to reduce buildup in the machine and improve taste.

I purchased the ice maker. I had a professional plumber install the ice maker. It ran for about 10 minutes and made a few ounces of ice and then the red FAULT light came on. I turned it off, checked the water supply and all the items we could think that might cause a fault. There was no real user manual so I reached out to customer service. I received these "robotic" type responses that gave me hope I would find a solution. They had me take video after video but I would always get these "automated" responses.Then I received an email which stated the same thing as their original email which stated they were sorry I had a problem and would I take pictures or videos of the problem. LIKE STARTING OVER. The Customer Service number on the booklet that came with the product is a non working number.I am now going back to Amazon to request refund.I CANNOT RECOMMEND THE PRODUCT as disappointed as I am that it didn't work!!!! There is obviously no solution from the manufacturer who is overseas,

Have had this for almost a year now and unit is working well. To be clear, like other reviews, it IS loud. Not sure if Vevor had issues on the manufacturing floor and tried to offload damaged product, but like some other reviews, mine arrived with significant top and back damage despite being extremely well packaged and absolutely no external sign of shipping damage. Seller was amazing to deal with and went out of their way to make things right. This machine makes FLAKE ice NOT "sonic" pellet ice like other reviewers claim. As with ANY ice machine, the bin should be emptied and cleaned periodically to keep it clean. Others have commented on the blue lights. They are simply a blue LED and have no UV function what-so-ever. There purpose is to ONLY provide light to the bin. Mine did fail just the other day but does not matter to me. What does matter is that this machine continues to provide consistent quality flake ice. For me (retired HVAC tech) I was able to install machine inside a kitchen cabinet and provide adequate ventilation to maintain peak production while also getting the machine behind a door to make the noise level less. For us, it is now quieter than our stove exhaust fan. That said, if this machine is setting in the open it will make any form of conversation difficult because of its fan. It does make fantastic ice though.

Never purchase from this seller or this product. I received this ice maker about a week ago. It worked fine the 1st day. I requested a return and since the seller doesn't pay for return it costed me $154 to ship it back to seller. I purchased this item for $213.99. The seller provided a refund of $174.20. So add return shipping to the purchased price totals $367.99, minus $174.20 leaves $193.79. This ice machine will cost you $193.79 down the trash after a refund. Not a seller I will purchase from in the future. You have been warned.
