Perfect.
Beautiful book filled with photos! I only tried one recipe- I cut it in 1/2 then 1/2 again, because I hate wasting ingredients if it’s not good..The first recipe I tried were the Earl Grey cupcakes! They were amazing! Very moist & flavorful. Maybe a tad too sweet, but not too bad at all.Update 2/13/22: The Wildberry Cupcakes. The cake itself is moist and on point. The frosting- when you add 1c of wildberry reduction- you get what you see in my photo. It’s way darker than in the photo and the buttercream is grainy and not as smooth. I would definitely use 3/4c or less next time. Again, this cupcake is a little too sweet, but I realize the culprit is mainly in the frosting.. I would tone down that sugar a bit.. Even with the help of the wildberry reduction (which is sour), it still came out a bit too sweet..The flavors are definitely unique in this book, and I do like the outcome.. If there are certain flavors that require to buy theirs, you don’t have to. You can opt out for same flavor but different company if you want..

Totally Delicious!!!
This book is such a feast for the eyes! If you want to be inspired in the kitchen...you'll find the construction and presentation ideas will keep you busy...happily.Not the book to get for "fast and easy" bakes. This is the book you get when you want to play seriously in the kitchen and get your cake-making mojo fired up.Just beautiful!

Much value for your money
I read through this cookbook just as soon as it arrived. Beautiful pictures, detailed instructions, many pro tips. I am anxious to make a cake to confirm the several reviews about the denseness of the cakes or is it possible their climate, altitude could be so different than the book purchasers. The comments about lack of weight measurements are simply not true. There are gram vs. cup measurements where appropriate. Not all recipes need both. Especially for the price for the content you receive, I highly recommend for that reason. The Earl Grey desserts look intriguing and I can’t wait to try!

Very pretty illustrations and good gift
Purchased as a Christmas gift for 14 year old who loves to bake. She loves it! And I got a sweet thank you from her promising to share her creations. I have not gotten any from her yet, so I can't comment on the recipes themselves. Pictures are pretty.Something else I learned while looking for this gift is that your copy centers like Kinkos /FedEx can spiral bind hardback cookbooks so they lay flat.

Love this book
I have loved absolutely everything I’ve made from this book! There are photos for every recipe, and they are beautiful as well. Each section has tips on things to look out for which is helpful when trying for the first time. The cashew praline party squares are my favorite. The “brownie” comes out different than I would’ve expected but trust the process and finish the recipe and you will be glad you did!

Doesn’t use weight for measurements, but visually beautiful
I will update review once I start baking more. I’ve read it cover to cover and baked one thing so far. I’m a frequent buyer of their baked goods when I’m home visiting family.Pros- it’s visually beautiful- organization is great- toppings and butter creams/ganaches are separate and there is advice for flavoringCons- it doesn’t use weights. This is maddening. Cups for measuring is incredibly imprecise and can affect the success of recipes. I wish they had at least included a conversion chart (particularly for the flour)- It is difficult to read some of the measurements. This is especially true for 1/4 v. 3/4 (yes, I’ve got my bifocals on!)- the one filling I made tasted very floury (cake batter macaron filling). This could be a result of culs v. Using grams.I really want to give it rave reviews, but as a baker I need more than a beautiful book.

Beautiful pictures and great recipes!
I follow Jenna Rae Cakes and was so excited when I found out they were coming out with a cookbook!! The recipes are great and I am excited to make all of them! The book is split up by cookies, cupcakes, party squares, cakes, cream puffs, macarons, candies & confections and last fillings & buttercream. Not only are there so many great recipes but there are amazing pictures so this can double as a coffee table book! Highly recommend buying this and supporting Jenna Rae Cakes!!

A book for the coffee table, not the kitchen
To look at, this book is beautiful and contains lots of delicious sounding recipes, but sadly I shall be returning it. All the recipes are in cups (with the exception of the macarons shell), now I know that's a common form of measurement in North America but come on....it's inaccurate and inconsistent and being that the authors are professional bakers surely they would weigh their ingredients? It doesn't make any sense to me that they haven't included weight measurements in this book. Something as simple as brownies starts off with 1 cup + 2 tbsp melted butter, why not just offer up a gram measurement? This wrecks the book for me, I can't be bothered to convert every single ingredient of a recipe before I can even make a start and even if I could be bothered to do that, if the recipe fails, do you blame the recipe or the conversion? If you're a competent baker you can usually tell if the ingredient amount is off, but with cups it's virtually impossible to do that. It's a huge shame, but if you're a UK baker who likes the science of baking and knowing that a recipe is accurate then I would avoid this book or, just stick it on your coffee table to look at. Very disappointed.

Cakes turn out dense
I have to start with saying that the cupcake recipes in this book are really nice!I don't think the recipes for the cakes are good though, I've tried three cake recipes now and all cake sponges were very heavy and dense. I had all the correct ingredients/measurements/equipment needed but there's something not working with the sponges. I think the book is more about making everything look pretty as opposed to tasting amazing which is unfortunate. I will still use the cupcake recipes from this book and maybe a few other small treats but not the cakes.

The most beautiful cake book I have
A visual feast. So beautiful. I am absolutely enchanted by this book . I cannot imagine any baker being disappointed with this book, so it would make the ideal gift. I own many, many baking books and none come close to the sheer beauty of the edibles in this and I don't think they look too daunting to make either. Highly recommended.

Stunning
This book is huge! I haven’t made anything yet but everything in the book looks delicious. First off, the photography of all the final products and the step by step pictures of assembling of the cakes are absolutely stunning. The book is divided into section of desserts (cakes, cupcakes, macarons 🤤, buttercream, party squares). Nothing is too crazy but there are some recipes that require you to make 4-5 different things like caramel, ganache etc however when those are needed you are only making a “small batch” of each. Each recipe has a “bakers tip” which range from substitutions to baking temps to icing techniques. The back of the book has macaron templates which I thought was a nice touch. The one thing I think will be annoying is having to constantly flip the pages. Most of the recipes say to refer to the back of the book every time you have to make a small batch of something (caramel, ganache) and the ingredients aren’t listed for those items in the main recipes. When that happens it says to go to page 330 or whatever for that recipe. I can honestly see myself shopping for the ingredients for the cookies sandwiches (cookie parts) but not the fillings because they are not right there lol. This is my first baking cook so I don’t know if that’s a thing or not.4.5 stars

A+++++
The media could not be loaded. Blown away! This book is more than a cookbook but a culinary journey on paper. The amount of detail and design that went into this will make you want to display it proudly on your bookshelf or coffee table (all while trying out some recipes as well!)
