Yes, the felts are replaceable. The originals come already attached and you can order extras separately.

What's hardness/stiffness of these when compared to the blue or gold 3M squeegees?

Compare's most closely to a BLUE squeegee. Maybe very slightly less flex, but this is not nearly as broke in as my BLUEs and REDs
