This made my dark brown hair super red which was perfect for Halloween! The only drawback is that it did leave residue on my skin and clothing for the entire night as I had it on….but overall it’s very hard to find a dye that actually works on dark hair and this one did!

This is a terrible messy product. We made the mistake of spraying it on indoors, in the bathroom (in the tub) the aerosol travels everywhere and leaves red residue on every possible surface. Yes it does wash out but it takes a lot of rinsing, wiping, repeating. We used multiple wet swifters on the bathroom floor and it is still red if you run a wet cloth over it. Same with the countertops, walls, and all surfaces. AND not just in the bathroom, it carried to every room on the floor, other bedrooms, etc. Even if you sprayed it on outside you should know that our daughter was in a friends car and in their house for a little while and it got all over their car and house as well. Use the gel kind of coloring instead! It doesn't come out on to everything and is much friendlier to deal with.

I wanted to be poison ivy for halloween this year but i was super on the fence of the red hair and scared it would look dumb. I was shocked how vibrant this color was on my brown hair (with some blonde highlights)! Everyone asked if i had a wig on all night. Reviews mentioned the color payoff on skin and clothes so i expected that, but it was pretty annoying being covered in red especially because it made my face makeup look super yellow lol. i bet there’s some way to make it not rub off, i also had to use 1 1/2 bottles on my head. Also worried about staining but i had it on for around 6 hours and shampood 4 times it came right out.

Works great! Super bright pigment even on medium brown hair. Also rinses out in one wash!

Very messy, product leaks off of your hair with any bit of sweat. If you touch your hair, your hands and nails will change color even if it’s dry. Good coloring, very bright and covers a lot.

Very fun, pop of color! Great coverage for most types of hair.

I never leave negative product reviews, but I had to make an exception for this product. I've used many temporary dye sprays for Halloween costumes over the years, and this year, I needed red hair for a Pennywise costume. I used following the directions, but it got on my bathroom floors, toiletry items, counters, tub, and all over my skin-- though that wasn't visible. It was only after seeing red footprints across the floor (literally like a crime scene) that I realized some of it was clinging to my skin. It took us two weeks of scrubbing the bathroom at various times to get all the red off various surfaces. I also didn't end up getting to wear my Pennywise costume-- didn't want to risk getting red on my friend's carpet.

I bought this product as a replacement for the cheap Halloween store sprays. Looked promising.On Halloween morning, we went to use it.Great coverage, didn't have that toxic smell.BUT. THE. MESS.Even with the vent fan in the bathroom on, the over spray powder was EVERYWHERE. Every inch of surface was pink. The counter, the floor, everything on the counter.Anytime you touch it to clean, it just spreads worse. So then there were handprints everywhere. My daughter's face went from clown white to pink.If not for the absolute mess (it took 3 days to clean properly) it would have received a higher mark.
