This is a good option to help keep the door closed on my double door Installation. I was afraid I’d have to put some kind of a bolting mechanism, but this works just fine. It was easy to install. It has height adjustment so depending on the clearance between your door and your frame, you can raise it or lower it and it works great for my application.

We decided it was time to upgrade all of the door handles in our home since the brass was screaming "built in the 90"s" so much. After doing this, I realized there was more than just the handles for the doors that were double doors and "latched" at the top.Installation of these was super easy, though if you are replacing any existing hardware, I HIGHLY recommend filling the holes from the previous hardware before installing this door catch. Trust me on this. While it's not obvious, these catches endure a LOT of push/pull on them, and existing holes might be slightly bigger than the screws provided with this hardware.The ball catch part that goes on the doors - our doors didn't have the top chiseled out to use the mounting plates. Fortunately, you can easily unscrew the mounting plates from these and just carefully tap the cylinder part down into the hole.If you're looking to update your home, or need to replace a door catch that has worn out, these are a great option and very affordable compared to the big box stores!
