Big N Crunchy
My boy cat's gingivitis has improved since switching to this food. I didn't want to start a toothbrushing regiment with an adult cat after discovering he had this problem. He chews up the large, porous pieces without difficulty. My other cat likes it too. I give her a few pieces as a "treat" to help keep her teeth clean as well.

Part of a tooth regime for a cat with severe tooth decay
If they'll eat it, it does help cats avoid dental plaque, cavities, surgery. Two of my cats loved this, one didn't. One of the "lovers" had extremely bad teeth and breath. I gave him a combination of Hill's Oral Care, OxyFresh water additive, and dental treats, and surprisingly managed to beat back his plaque and bad breath!

Exspensive but worth it if it helps the kitties šø
Cats are eating it. 2 of them have dental issues and trying to keep them from having to be put out to have teeth cleaned at the vet. Very exspensive to have done and don't like to do it to them if don't have to. We shall see in couple of weeks what vet has to say.

My kitty couldnāt have his teeth cleaned
My cat is not able to have his teeth cleaned because his liver counts were off a little bit. He is 13, and he absolutely adores this food. His breath is already so much better after feeding it for about five days. I had been feeding only canned food, which I feel is healthier for a cat than dry food, because they get most of their moisture from the food they eat. He seems to be drinking quite a bit of water, so I feel OK about feeding this to him currently. I may also intersperse with some canned food meals. Itās really bad when your catās teeth collect tartar like my cat does. My previous cat baby collected no tartar on his teeth, except a little tiny bit toward the gumline. He never had to have his teeth cleaned. But my current cat baby collects tartar like crazy! I am so thankful for this food because now I feel that his teeth and gums are going to be much healthier. Also, I can let him sleep next to me now, without smelling his terrible breath š«¢Update December 10, 2023Success!! I just checked my cats teeth, which he hates and generally will not let me do, I had to put on Medi gloves to do it, but I looked at his molars, and I do not see a trace of accumulated tartar.I am over the moon happy because not only is it saving me about $700 in teeth cleaning, yes, that is what my cat vet charges, and the Discount vet charges about $400 plus the blood work, but I do not have to have my cat anesthetized, which he probably couldnāt do anyway because of his liver counts. This food is really the answer to fresh smelling breath for my cat. When My cat, Pasha, licks my hand, I smell absolutely no bad smells in his saliva, and when he lies next to me in bed at night, there is no bad breath smell. I would say it has taken about six months for his teeth to completely clean up. I think I started feeding him this food in about July 2023. I still feed him premium, canned cat food morning and evening, but he likes to munch on this dry food in between so it cleans the canned cat food from his teeth, as well as the accumulated tartar. I can tell that he feels better too. I believe his stinky mouth was really bothering him. I still donāt know why one of my vets did not recommend this food, especially for a cat who couldnāt be anesthetized to have his teeth cleaned. I may have to mention that at the next vet visit.

My cats love it
I'm trying to get my cat to lose weight, and though this formula is definitely not meant for that, I noticed she isn't eating as much since the pieces are so large. When she eats the smaller pieces, she just shows down all day from her bowl and her brother's. I can't attest to the actual dental cleaning because I'm not sure, but for overall satisfaction, I'd say it's great. My cats love it and they don't always finish their bowl. I think having the larger pieces is helping.

Pricey yes, but effective
I have a cat who develops plaque readily. Since using this she has been able to go many years without needing a cleaning. Doc told me that this food can't be effective if it can't reach the surface of the teeth. So 1) eating this kept my cat from needing a cleaning for five years when she used to need it annually and 2) its job is to keep the plaque from developing for as long as possible--almost all cats eventually need a scraping unless you're regularly brushing them.N.B.: Fortunately we were able to find a hygienist who does not require anesthesia (for convenience of sonic tools) and saved all the added costs. Vet hygienist just wrapped her in a fuzzy blankie, got in with the people dental tools, and scraped off the plaque. Kitty in and out of there in 20 min. Purring afterward, no trauma. No hours to recover from anesthesia (and signing the form saying I understand she could die from it). Even though she's an older kitty, tech said I could still start brushing her teeth myself if she's wrapped in the blanket. He said just to focus on the molars, start in short attempts, that there's actually plenty of space to get a wee toothbrush inside the cheek. Said that combined with this diet will go a long way.
