Came as expected and when expected
Have not used this yet, but it looks like a perfectly operating Hi Lift jack. Came in what looks to be perfect condition with minimal packing-No obvious damage in transit.

Fantastic tool for the money, worth it over standard jack.
There's not much to say about the hi-lift that hasn't already been said. It's a fantastic tool, worthy of taking up space in the back of every truck. It's usefulness extends far beyond offroading, but also in industrial and construction uses. I use mine frequently to lift and reset sunken or leaning scaffolding loaded with stone on the jobsite, and as a come along. The xtreme model is a useful upgrade for the money for the additional modular jaw, largely useful for spreading, I usually end up removing it as it can get in the way when jacking. The coating upgrade is also fantastic, I get a kick out of the pavement princess jeep bros complaining about the never once used jacks rusting on their hoods, if you've ever had a painted model before the xtreme youd know that coating is real garbage vs the powdercoat. As others have said it's a tool not a trophy and it will rust in some places, I kept my older painted model wrapped up on the bed rails of my now sold overland build Tacoma, and the extreme resides under the diamondback cover of my new ram with a offroad base and lift mate. There is no point in exposing these things to the elements and potential thieves unless complements from the bros is that important to you.

Beast of a Jack
This jack is a mans jack, by that I mean it's tough, and heavy weight wise.I believe that the jack will perform most of your expectations, if it functions the way it's suppose to right out of the box.If not, send it back, and get a new one.Anything made by man can be defective, and you can't depend upon quality control to catch it.Now, about the finish of the Xtreme"s powder coat, which disappoints consumers. The powder coat does chip off where metal rubs metal, but I don't know of a material that won't come off if rubbed long enough, and hard enough. The powder coat is hard and brittle, so if it gets wacked hard enough, or scraped hard enough, it's going to come off.I don't imagine that they put a lot of investment in making the powder coat bullet proof.Having said all that, if the extra cost of the powder coat will disappoint you if it comes off in places, be prepared to be disappointed.I purchased the jack for Farm use, so I can't really speak to the sport aspect of it.From the reviews, it does a great job off road. The jack is built like a tank, I can't imagine it not lifting anything within reason.I'm sure that it has it's weight limit, but I can't imagine anything in the automotive range that it won't lift.I would buy it again for my needs, even if the powder coat does come off.Take care of it, and it will out last you.

Quality
Bought this high lift jack for use on my 1971 Ford 3500 construction backhoe. It is a 9500 lb tractor. Bracket securing the front-loader to the front of the tractor broke. Used this to lift the front-loader arm back in to place, after cleaning up and welding the bracket mounts back in place. Lifted the arm easily. Once bolted back in place, the jack was super easy to reverse and lower out of place.Just for the heck of it, to test out the newly fab'ed mounting bracked, I then lifted the mount back up and this high lift jack lifted the front, left side of the tractor off of the ground, which assured me that the bracket for the front-loader was fixed and holding properly. It also reassured me that this high lift jack is of excellent quality, easy to use to jack up and lower back down under a load, and will handle the loads it claims and then sum.I've used high lift jacks before, though it's been over 20 years. This one has a large foot and lift point, easily shifts directions from raising to lowering a load (safely, too, I will add), and is capable of handling the weight of loads it claims to do.Yes, if you are looking for a quality, high lift jack, I do recommend this one.

Jack works great, but the finish rusts right away
A Hi-lift jack is a must for every off-roader. They are a life saver when your stuck and there are no trees around to winch from. The lifting action is very smooth and the direction switching mechanism works well. I like the adjustable removable clamping mechanism as well, although I haven't gotten the chance to use it.My only disappointment is that I had it outside in a couple of rain storms and the bar is already starting to rust in about every hole. I understand that there is a lot of weight on the contact points as it lifts and there may not be a way around the rusting. I would've liked to see the finish last longer, especially on this extreme that touted it's finish. All in all I am happy though

Great jack, but shame on Hi-Lift for its shipping
Simple, strong, brilliant design and what seems like an unstable base actually makes it easy on your equipment because the jack leans in to lift the load rather than pulling the load to it. It makes sense in action. It needs oiling right out of the box so don't forget to do that. I use it to lift a big ZTR mower deck that weighs 750-lbs., so I inserted a half-inch bolt and nut where I start lifting on that mower to keep the large runner from dropping the last 13 inches when lowering the load. If you ever need any work done on it, keep your receipt, as Hi-Lift requires proof-of-purchase within its 1-year warranty._______________________NOTE ON SHIPPING:SHAME ON YOU, HI-LIFT, AND YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. You shipped this great jack in a big box without any packing material via UPS and they took up your challenge. Both UPS and FedEx are notorious anymore for destroying more goods than they deliver, and without any packaging protection, UPS not only tore off half the box, but managed to tear chunks off the powdercoat. The clevis was slightly rusted from where they must have left it in a puddle of water or fuel. I don't understand what so many companies are thinking these days that packaging should be nonexistent.
