Beautiful Movie
Beautiful film. I've always been a fan of this director . Y to Mama, Children of Men, I don't think he's made a misstep. Beautifully captured in black and white , and following the life of a young Mexican maid, as she works for a family in Mexico city during some turbulent years, mirroring , and essentially a tribute to the woman that helped raise him, the director takes us on an amazing journey through the life of her, and his family. Well done, and a must see , for the cinema lover.

Masterpiece, honored with a fantastic edition
This movie is an absolute masterpiece, and Criterion delivers: a LOT of extra content, of extremely high quality. This movie deserved it. Get it and watch it.

Gorgeous movie, gorgeous packaging
Netflix is huge, and they often put out great movies. But maybe you don't want to subscribe forever, and want access to your favorite movies forever?Enter: The Criterion Collection. This is one of the best TCC sets I own. The presentation, the booklet (more like novelette), box, and special features are truly what this movie deserves.Roma should've won Best Picture at the Oscars. I like to think that by buying this beautiful set, I'm supporting great art and workmanship (and The Criterion Collection) without having to pay $100+ per year for Netflix.

This should have won Best Picture
I liked Parasite,... but... this was better. This is a movie. Parasite was a movie also... but this was more like real life. Amazing movie I don't know where to start with the little details. I can't recommend this enough. (I say "This is a movie" because I also watched "Knives Out" and thought it would have been better as an hour long TV special... screw that movie compared to ROMA! It was ok... but nothing compared to Roma.)

A slice of life - in the most glorious B&W images
This movie is so beautiful! From the crisp clarity of the black and white images like nothing I've seen before, to the wide field of vision - in some of the most spectacular panoramic views on film , to the tender and understated acting of the primary characters, I just loved this movie and waited one long year to actually have it on DVD to watch it again and again. It gets its well-deserved release on this Criterion Collection 2-disc set.

A beautiful classic
This is an exceptional film. In many ways it reminds me of some of the best Fellini films. You se the world in Mexico City trough the eyes of a servant in a middle class house hold. It has a very interesting narrative line, compelling.
