My Everyday Work Jacket
I know when it comes to jackets it’s easy to go with a brand that you know. I took a chance with this one and now I’m glad that I did! I went with the color black since it can work for both work and personal use. It’s very warm on cool nights and works for the California climate. It’s very comfortable, light, and has a nice slim fit to it. I like the style of it as well, it’s very utilitarian and urban in design. The hood on it is a plus and keeps me dry in inclement weather. Definitely worth the purchase!

5-Star Review: FREE SOLDIER Men's Waterproof Tactical Jacket – Durable and Versatile for Outdoors
I recently purchased the FREE SOLDIER Men's Outdoor Waterproof Soft Shell Hooded Military Tactical Jacket, and overall, I’m quite impressed with its performance. Here’s my breakdown:Pros:Waterproof and Durable: The material does an excellent job repelling rain and light snow. I’ve worn it in moderately rough weather, and it held up beautifully.Warm and Comfortable: The soft fleece lining provides great insulation without feeling bulky. It’s perfect for cool to cold temperatures.Ample Storage: The numerous pockets (both interior and exterior) are a game-changer for keeping essentials like phones, wallets, and small tools secure and accessible.Stylish and Functional Design: The jacket strikes a great balance between tactical utility and casual wear, making it versatile for outdoor adventures and daily use.Cons:Breathability Could Be Better: While it’s great for keeping warm, the jacket tends to feel a bit stuffy during high-intensity activities. Ventilation zippers help, but they’re not a complete fix.Fit and Sizing: The fit runs slightly small, especially in the shoulder area. I’d recommend sizing up if you plan to layer underneath.Final Thoughts:This jacket is a solid choice for outdoor enthusiasts or anyone needing reliable protection against the elements. It’s durable, well-made, and packed with features. The few minor drawbacks don’t outweigh the quality and value it offers.Would I recommend it? Absolutely—but keep sizing and activity level in mind when deciding if it’s the perfect fit for you.

Much better than expected
Ordered a 3xl and it wouldn't fit. Returned it and ordered a 4xl. I have a 54" chest, and usually wear 2xl shirts and jackets. The 4xl fit, and that's when I realized the label said 3xl. So I think the first jacket I received was an xl or a 2xl, not the 3xl that I ordered. Anyway, putting that aside, it's a great jacket. I use it on my motorcycle. It's wind proof for sure. plenty warm down to 45F. Haven't tested it in the rain yet. I love that the cuffs can be tightened so they don't scoop wind. All the pockets are handy. If this jacket support CE type motorcycle impact armor it would be an awesome motorcycle jacket! Unfortunately it doesn't, and that's not how its marketed either, that's just how I'm using it. The underarm vents make it fine up to 70F. I bought it slightly loose so that I can put a vest and a liner underneath if I need to, but it doesn't flap around in the wind even though it's not tight. It feels quality and strong. The zippers work easily with my gloves on. When I'm not using it, it can be folded/squished pretty tight and doesn't take up as much room in my saddlebag as an armored motorcycle jacket would. So I guess the lack of armor is a pro and a con if you look at it that way. Anyway, I like it and i think it looks good. Love that the hood rolls up and velcros in place so it doesn't flap around in the wind. I wish they had the 3xl in the black and gray, but I had to settle for solid gray. Took off 1 star for the mis-sized orders, but if I ignore that it's a 5 star product for sure!

A great buy!!!
This field coat is a great buy: it is nicely crafted, is very warm, water proof, has a detachable hood, and has loads of pockets to hold all of your stuff. I brought a 4x and love the fit. It's not bulky or heavy, but warm enough to withstand chilly wind and drenching rain. I get hot fast wearing a lot of coats, so I usually just wear a long sleeve t shirt underneath this and I am comfortable. Well worth the money.

Definitely worth it, hopefully my forever jacket.
So, proof to this review. I just bought it last week and put it to the test this past Saturday. My stepson had a TYFA championship playoff game this past Saturday here in Texas. It was 56° and a steady heavy drizzle or light rain. I was part of the chain gang holding the down marker so I could it use an umbrella. This jacket held up to its descriptions. It eventually got soaked, but I literally stayed dry and warm. I ordered a large. I am 5'7" and at about 198lbs. A bit over weight, and it's a but loose on me. But it's definitely comfortable. I love the pit zips because as I started to sweat, I was able to unzip my pits just a bit for better ventilation and no more sweating and I was still warm. The hood is great in both ways. I love the extended bill, it kept the rain off my face and glasses. And when thrown back, it sits flat, not all puffed out like most jackets. No, here are my downsides. It has plenty of pockets, I wish it had at least one internal pocket. But my phone and smokes stayed dry in the rib pockets 100%. Second downside. Since my jacket is a bit too big for me, the bicep pockets are a bit difficult to zip back up. I have to hold the cuff with my fingers to keep it tight and pull the zipper up. But that's not a defect in the product, just an issue with the size I ordered, so keep that on mind. 3rd issue, there were no instructions on how to roll the hood up and stow away. I had to watch the video for the product a view times to see how they are folding it. But once folded, it's a nice tick fleece lined collar. All in all great product, there is a video on YouTube where a guy has owned his for years and loves it. I definitely recommend. I'm going to order another one, but without the hook and loop patches for my wife. She loves mine as well.
