So let me just say, I do love this background. It’s bright and beautiful and it adds that little extra something for my tank. Now, it is definitely going to be easier to install this on a tank that is not set up yet, as you can lay the tank down and then apply the background easily. But, for a tank that is already set up, (has water, fish, etc.) the first thing you want to do is make sure Al cords are away from the back of the tank and you have full access to the glass. Then you are going to want to spray the glass with water. This will help you move the background around if it doesn’t sit where you want it the first time. If you don’t spray with water, wherever you put it, that’s where it stays, and there will be air bubbles that are going to be impossible to remove. If you try to remove it after you stick it on, the sticky stuff will stick to your tank and you’re going to have to goo gone it off. But if you spray with water, you can easily move it around AND it’s easier to get air bubbles out. Because I made the mistake I just mentioned, I do have some air bubbles. But I’m fine with it for now. I’ll end up getting this again and fixing it, and do it right the first time. Hope this helps!

No instructions included! After two trials, too many "bubbles"! Looked up the Amazon page it was purchased from, and, behold, there were some instructions for a similar product! On my third try, following the online instructions to spray dampen the glass surface with water prior to application, the background looks great. Note that I had to, carefully, and with some difficulty, detach the background from aquarium glass three times. Had it not been for lack of instructions, I would have rated the product with five stars, and the "easy to install" section with at least four stars.

Love the look but it is too sticky to install easily without getting air bubbles ! Still looking at bubbles so disappointed but dreading peeling off to replace

I was setting up a new tank so I paid extra when I could have gotten it cheaper elsewhere a few weeks later, but I did not want to wait. Pricier than backgrounds from stores, but everything in my new aquarium is top of the line.

I really like the look of this background. Even though it came with no install instructions snd I ended up tossing in the trash because I couldn’t get rid of the bubbles, I bought another. This time I might consider taping it to the glass instead of relying on the sticky surface. If that doesn’t work, absolutely will not buy another.By the way, when I removed the background, I was stuck with a sticky glue residue on the glass. Am using goo off to try to get it off.

I lived the design, but really can’t see it on my aquarium. Had to even tape the edges.

I did not like this product. I will give it credit for being sturdy, and the design was pretty. However, it was described as something that would cling on the back of the tank and be able to be moved around, but it was a stick on. It was extremely hard to attach! When I finally got it in somewhat of a satisfactory position, I stuck it on as best I could. It ended up having many many bubbles. I worked with it for a long time and tried to puncture the bubbles with a pin, but most of them stayed. I would have returned it, but I was afraid to try to get it off the back of the tank. I thought it might leave a sticky mess that I wouldn’t be able to get off. So I still have it on the back of the tank with the bubbles showing as dark blotches. People think it’s just supposed to be that way, but I know better. By the way, there were no directions that came with it, so I just had to wing it. Directions would have probably helped. It was like putting a screen protector on a mobile phone except huge. And my tank was already set up, so I had to put it on while the tank was against the wall. Anyway, in conclusion I would not recommend this product.

It is exactly what I wanted, it is thick and durable and has great adhesion. The only reason I didn’t give a 5star review is because it is really tricky to put on. It is most definitely a two person job!! I used a kitchen scraper for the air bubbles. There were only a few that we couldn’t get out but with the decor in the tank you can’t really notice.
