The quality of slippery elm varies quite a bit across suppliers. This is amoung the best.

I am highly satisfied with this product. I purchased it to calm my digestive tract. I was a bit surprised that it did not dissolve easily in hot water. I used an immersion blender to get a smooth consistently without the clumps. The result resembled porage and smelled like oatmeal. The product worked as I had hoped.

The first one was fine until air got into it many, many months after purchasing. The first stopped gelling then, but never smelled bad. This one doesn't gel and smells rotten. I'm returning. I thought I had a brand I could trust. They lost a repeat customer.

It came in an airtight plastic bag. Once opened I put the contents in a Mason jar.There are no directions. I am taking one tablespoon 2 times a day mixed with hot water and honey. It's nothing I look forward to. I expected it to be thick but it makes lumps and can be hard to drink down. Im hoping to heal a slightly irritated esophagus.
