Good quality, somewhat loud, fairly easy to install
This is a project that I started many months ago, and I finally got to flush the toilet for the first time today. There are quite a few surprises that I had with this unit. The toilet is a bit taller than I was expecting. The top of the bowl is 17" off the floor. I don't know if this qualifies as a "Highboy", but it's about 3" taller than my other toilet. The toilet seat that came with it is a slow/quiet close seat. I was going to replace the "standard" seat with a slow/quiet close version, only to find that the seat that came with it is already slow/quiet close. The inside of the tank is lined with foam. In theory, that should help reduce the amount of condensation during humid summer months. Considering this unit is in my basement, it gets even more humid and needs the foam even more. The package came with a small sticker saying "don't flush stuff".Some of the difficulty I had during installation is due to how I'm installing it. I've built a water closet (WC) that is 33" wide. That's a little wider than code requires, but it turns out it was a good thing. I don't know that this unit would have fit in a WC that is standard width. I have stud walls with drywall on 3 sides of the toilet. Because the basement floor is concrete, I needed to put an extra base plate. That made the connections a bit tight. I have a vanity on one wall outside the WC, and a utility sink on the other. The videos on the company web site and other places on the net were very helpful. In particular, pointing out that this requires a real vent, and not a "fake" vent was made obviously clear in many places. That of course added to the difficulty in installation as I needed to run a real vent in addition to the supply line and waste line.I opted to go with a 1" PVC waste line. I've heard/read that the pump will last longer if you give it plenty of throughput to pump the poopy water. 1" PVC wasn't too much more expensive or difficult to install over the 3/4". I'm a bit surprised that the check valve and flexible waste tube that's provided is only 3/4".The pump is a bit loud. I had heard/read that before buying and installing, so I was expecting it to be loud. It's not actually as bad as I was expecting given some of the comments. But it will certainly be disruptive in the middle of the night when everyone is sleeping. I'm thinking about inserting some sound insulation around it, but I'll wait until I've lived with it for a while. This package was expensive. I had seen cheaper models on Amazon. But I wanted to go with the bigger pump since I don't trust people to not flush things they shouldn't. It would be super nice if the package came with larger sticker, and more stickers saying not to flush stuff. I wound up buying a BIG RED sticker elsewhere on Amazon. While this package was expensive, I'm hoping that paying extra will mean that I won't have problems and this unit will last until the end of time.It would have been nice if the instructions came with a template saying where to put the holes for the various anchors with respect to the finished wall. I didn't really feel comfortable lugging the fragile bowl and tank through my construction site and then having to assemble it to find where to put the anchors. One of my bowl anchor holes was mal formed. I don't know if I got an odd duck, or if the mold is deformed and all of them come out that way. The anchor hole on the left side wasn't plumb -- it angles toward the side at about 10 degrees. I was able to compensate, but I'm expecting I might find that part of the base will have extra stress and might break eventually. Having said that, I don't think the bowl anchors do much more than keep it in place, so they don't have to be too tight or straight.

Excellent Product, Perfect Packaging, 5++ Star Customer Service!
I couldn't be happier with my purchase. After much nail biting angst and honestly months of waffling, researching, and waffling, we took the plunge and invested in our first macerating toilet system...then realized we might have ordered the wrong model.I reached out to customer service shortly after ordering, and must say these guys have TOP NOTCH service. Andy was amazing. Not only was he prompt, kind, professional, and incredibly helpful (even responding on the weekend!), but when I reached out a second time to tell him I got in touch with my plumber and actually **did** order the correct model, Andy was just as professional and prompt to reverse my cancellation request. And wouldn't you believe it, even after that he even shipped this beauty with 2nd Day Air mail!I couldn't believe how fast it was delivered. Packaging is phenomenal, and I also appreciated how straightforward, yet helpful the instructions were.If you want old fashioned customer service, and a great product, don't hesitate to order a Saniflo from Plumbingwholesalers. Thank you Andy!

It makes a loud noise when you flush it
I like it because it works well for a flush but you got to be careful what you flush down the toilet

Solves a lot of problems.
I bought a house that had a long (14 foot) narrow (6 foot) Master bath. The toilet was just inside the inward opening door. If someone passed out on the toilet their body would block the door. A concern with older people living in the house. I decided to move the toilet to the other end of the bathroom but the slope of the drain pipe would not be enough to carry the black water away. This solved the problem. The toilet flushes straight down by gravity to the utility room in the basement and the grinder. This unit grinds it up then shoots it 20 feet with pressure to the main drain pipe. The negative is the check valve to prevent back flow is in a right angle fitting ot top. If it is not on tight it blows off from the pressure and you get ground paper and poo blown around. I used gorilla tape to add an additional level of security so it will not happen.. again. (The second bathroom had the same problem but I could not move the toilet so I cut the door into a Dutch door. The top half can be opened from the outside in case the door is blocked. 2020. The unit stopped pumping. Looked on line and there is a weak acid cleaner that will fix the problem. You turn off the unit, dump a half gallon of the cleaner into the toilet and flush 1-1.25 gallons of water into the unit andlet it sit 12 hours. Then plug in the pump and let it empty out. Unplug and wait another 12 hours so the ckeaning solution can clean the top of the anti-backflow check valve. Plug in and use as usual. DO NOT put anything down the toilet other thsn toilet paper.

Box was damaged.
I received the product though the box was damaged. I just wanted to post my observations in case there is a problem with the unit inside the box when I install it in a few months. The unit looks ok but due to the damage of the box you never know how much this item was kicked around during transit.

Saniflo 013 SANIBEST Grinder Pump, White
I am extremely happy with this purchase. The instructions were spot on and installation was a breeze. While I am not a professional, my skill levels for electrical and plumbing are rather high. If you are not handy with these things, you may want to hire it out. We have used the unit now for quiet awhile and it operates flawlessly. If you install one, be advised they do make a racket. I installed mine behind an insulated wall and can barely hear it now. If you have a situation where tying a 4in line to your sewer is prohibitive, you can't go wrong with this. I call the unit my poop slurpy machine because that is exactly what it does. It grinds the poop and paper to a fine slurpy and flushed it down a 3/4in line. Got to laugh everytime we flush it.
