Great book with great insight of the life of a professional football superstar
This book starts off talking about the struggles Zlatan went through during his brief stint at FC Barcelona then later on it talks about his other club teams he played for(Paris,Ajax,Juventus,Inter&A.C Milan,Sweden, and Malamo) and his tough childhood. I Am Zlatan is a biography of one of the best soccer players in the world, Zlatan Ibrahimovic. This book is written by David Lagercrantz, he has written a number of other published books but this was his first biography, and he does an outstanding job, he wonderfully describes life stories of Zlatan childhood through adulthood. I think the mood or tone of the book is all different types of emotions, but overall this book is uplifting, inspiring and, motivating because the story of Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a story of rags to riches. I would 100% recommend this to a friend who likes sports especially soccer or to a person who likes biographies of celebrities because this is both.

Zlatan is as Zlatan does
Welcome to Zlatan's world! Zlatan, zlatan, zlatan...to summarize this book.A very entertaining read of a very candid footballer's life and career thus far. Readers will appreciate his sincere narcissism and unfiltered criticisms. For one of the world's best footballer's to reveal so much to so many is the reason why this book is difficult to put down.If only Zlatan would have further detailed his own insecurities on possibly never winning a World Cup and/or Champions League trophies I would have given this 5 stars. But, then again, Zlatan cares only for what Zlatan thinks.

The BEST sports autobiography of all time!!!!
What sets this book apart from all the other bland sports books out there is that Zlatan is never afraid to speak his mind. In his own one-of-a-kind style, Zlatan writes about every struggle, every goal, and every training ground dust-up on his journey to dominate the world's top clubs. He doesn't use any of the same old bland clichés that every other sports star uses (cough, Messi, Ronaldo, cough, cough). He definitely lifts the lid on some of the biggest names in the sport, but more than that, this is a classic story of an underdog and an outsider. Zlatan describes his hard-knocks upbringing - the one rough, poor kid, a son of immigrants, among entire teams of rich boys and their hypocritical parents - and explains his impulses to break all the rules and still be the best player in the world. All this makes for the best sports book I have ever read. Seriously, Zlatan is the greatest - so if you want to Zlatan like Zlatan, you better read this book.

Very entertaining and inspiring!
It's not only about his soccer life. It's a complete biography. He talks about his childhood as an immigrant, his family, later on about his own family and the relations he had in his soccer life (his agents, presidents and managers of clubs, teammates and opponents...). It's very insightful. The chapters are well organized like in a good novel. The anecdotes are interesting and funny. I really enjoyed his sense of humour. Zlatan is an exciting soccer player, doing lots of tricks, doing the show on the pitch. His book and his life are as exciting and entertaining as he is as a pro soccer player. He's a rebel and doesn't keep his mouth shut. He stands up for what he believes in life. He doesn't follow the crowd. And that makes for the most interesting and original personality. Great (book) as the unbelievable goal he made against England in a friendly game.

Aidan TriplerLanguage Arts1/7/2016#45The book I Am Zlatan is an autobiography of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He is a famous soccer player. He currently plays for the soccer club PSG in Paris, France. He grew up in Malmö, Sweden where he started his soccer career. Zlatan talks about his rough childhood. He had to act like the father in the family because his father was not around.Zlatan has played in almost all of the biggest leagues in Europe. He talks about his relationships with his teammates and managers. His relationships with his managers were often bad. Acting as the authority figure as a child may have caused this because he was used to being in charge. This book is inspiring for young athletes. I recommend this book for not just soccer fans but everyone who is looking for a good book to read!

Zlatan is the Bastiat of football/soccer
I am only partway through this book, but am thoroughly enjoying it so far. I read a sample of it, then bought it in paperback for cheapest. Zlatan is the Bastiat of soccer. I don’t know if a player like him can be reproduced. Having a background and an artistic point of view myself, watching his play and reading this book paints a vivid landscape of his vibrant life. Soccer is a beautiful game, the players (or artists) who rise to prominence are masters, and Zlatan is of a form and style that could be easily classified in a league of it’s own. This book is a wonderful glimpse into the life of one of the most unique professional stars at the top of their game. 5 stars.
