Four Reasons to Ignore All One-Star Reviews - #3 is a MUST-READ
Can I be totally honest with you? You can ignore every review for this pill that's less than five stars. And I'm going to tell you exactly why you should ignore any negative reviews. Because the reasons are very simple.1. Side Effects: Yes, there's a chance you'll get side effects if you take this. For every 10 women who take this pill, at least one of you might get irregular bleeding. Or nausea. Or pain in your abdomen. Even headaches. What so many people fail to realize, is that these are common side effects to taking levonorgestrel. The side effects have NOTHING to do with this brand of pill. But everything to do with with the active ingredient. The same exact ingredient, in the same exact dose, as literally every Plan B pill on Amazon. Sometimes the side effects are bad, sometimes they're not. Just because they weren't as bad as the time someone took a $50 pill, it doesn't mean they were bad this time because of a different brand.2. Same Ingredients as a $50 Plan B One-Step: The two tablets are virtually identically. The active ingredient in this Rugby brand tablet is 1.5mg of levonorgestrel. The inactive ingredients include Colloidal Silicon Dioxide, Corn Starch, Hypromellose, Lactose Monohydrate, Magnesium Stearate, Talc. Okay, so what about Plan B One-Step? Active ingredient is 1.5mg of levonorgestrel. And the inactive ingredients? Colloidal Silicon Dioxide, Corn Starch, Lactose Monohydrate, Magnesium Stearate, Potato Starch, Talc. So what does that mean to you? It means that one pill will work no better, and no worse, than the other. The potential side effects each brand lists is the same. Because it's basically the same exact pill.3. No Plan B pill is 100% effective. There is not a single Plan B pill on Amazon that is 100% guaranteed to keep you from getting pregnant. I don't care what brand it is. Want to know why? There are two big reasons. The first is timing. According to the National Institute of Health, levonorgestrel is usually 89% effective if taken correctly within 72 hours of the first time something happens. If you're mid-cycle and take it IMMEDIATELY, it can be 92 to 98% effective. Some factors can make taking it only 50% effective. In other words, there's a good chance that every 1 out of 10 women who take ANY brand of this pill will still get pregnant. Every brand will tell you, this reduces your chances of getting pregnant. And it does. But it's not guaranteed. One other huge issue when it comes to how effective this medicine can be....YOUR WEIGHT MAY AFFECT HOW WELL PLAN B WORKSNot all scientists agree 100% on this, or how big a difference your weight can play. But one particular study found that women who weigh over 155 lbs, or have a BMI over 25, may not get the full benefits of Plan B. Different studies were done that suggested the higher your Body Mass Index, the more fat your body has, the less effective your body will be at metabolizing levonorgestrel. So if you're a BBW, Plan B will simply not work as well for you as a woman that's 5'7" and weighs 120 pounds. Some studies say it works about 6% less if you weigh 155. Others say it may not work at all, for bigger women. Which is why women with a BMI over 25 may take one pill immediately, then another pill 12 hours later. PLEASE SPEAK WITH YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT THIS, as I'm neither a physician nor a trained medical expert. I can only say that it's generally thought that Plan B is less effective the higher your BMI. Long story short, your weight and the time that you take a Plan B can impact how likely it will be at preventing a pregnancy. Those people saying they took this pill and still got pregnant, we'll never know all of the details involved (how soon after they took it, if they had sex more than once, when their last period was, or their weight).4. The Price is Right. You can either drop $50 on a Plan B One-Step. Or you can buy the Rugby brand for only nine bucks. If you know that the ingredients are identical, I can't imagine why you'd want to spend $40 more than you have to. You can even play it extra safe and buy two pills for $18, and you're still paying less than what a generic pill would cost at Walgreens.SHOULD YOU BUY THIS PILL?For emergency contraceptive reasons, why wouldn't you? Every Plan B type pill on Amazon is going to have negative reviews. And they will always be the exact same two complaints: 1. They still got pregnant, 2. The side effects were bad. Which means 1. They assumed Plan B works 100% of the time, when no brand ever says that it's possible, 2. They completely ignored the list of possible side effects literally printed on the back of the package plus mentioned on the product pages. EVERY levonorgestrel pill on Amazon lists the exact same eight possible side effects, because they're all the exact same active ingredient.Listen, when you're done reading this, add one to your shopping cart. Or do what we did, order two. They're only $9 each. That way if you need a bit more peace of mind, you can take two back-to-back. Or take one, and then keep the second one tucked away in a safe place. In case of emergency. Then if you actually need one again, you're not stressing out waiting for it arrive in the mail. You're not having to drive around to different drugstores in town, seeing who still has them in stock at $40 to $50 a pill. You don't have to get assistance from someone at the store to unlock the case to get it for you. Order it online now, check out, it will be on its way in a few days in a regular mailer. And no one will have any idea what's actually in the large padded envelope. Keep your privacy, and get some peace of mind in the process. We put our trust in this product, I wouldn't recommend it if I wasn't familiar with exactly how it works.

Convenient & Affordable.
Well I'm not pregnant so 5 stars to that! This is a very convenient and cheaper option. I did not have any side effects. I definitely suggest spending the $10 and getting this delivered to your door than having to leave the house and pay $50.

arrived quickly, shelf life of several years
I now live in a place with a very strict abortion ban (the so called "six weeks" abortion bans are actually 2 weeks after the first day of a missed period; pregnancies "begin" on the first day of a menstrual period, so the first two weeks of the so called pregnancy occur before ovulation. Ovulation happens two weeks into the pregnancy. The first day of a missed period is considered to be 4 weeks into a pregnancy. So a six week ban actually gives you only two weeks to figure out that you are pregnant, make a decision, find an abortion provider, and then schedule and make the appointment).Having these on hand gives me a little piece of mind, although it is not a perfect solution. These only prevent ovulation; if the egg has already been released and fertilized, these pills won't work.

Well, I didn’t get pregnant-
The pill worked as it should, I took it two days before expected ovulation (because it won’t work if you’ve already ovulated). There was plenty of unprotected intercourse during the few days surrounding me taking the pill. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend anyone doing what I did as far as not taking secondary precautions. However I didn’t experience any negative side effects and my period began around its estimated date. It’s good to be aware that taking this type of medication can either lighten or make your period heavier. It can start a bit sooner than expected or a bit later. But once you get it, you at least know that you’re not pregnant. So I’m grateful to have found something that works, especially for the cost. I have an extra one in my cabinet just in case for the future. But I highly recommend this and it’s just proof that you don’t need to spend $50 for something that works just as well for far less money.

Definitely works
I’m usually on birth control, but if something’s come up and I haven’t had the chance do get my doses on time I usually order this plan b. It’s not the original brand of plan B, but those are way too over priced. I order this rugby brand at least 4 times a year and more through Amazon just to play it safe until I am ready for kids. I honestly think it works for me. The price is so affordable and is a great way for protection. Some symptoms I’ve had is cramping, bleeding of course, headaches, sleepiness, but that usually happens. It goes away in a couple of days. I honestly would recommend this brand to anyone.
