Use to mix small batches of concrete, gallon paint cans. Even used to work through compost pile. Versitle tool. Works as described. No complaints.

I bought the long version, which would be great for 5 gallon pails of paint. It's a little long for the single gallons I usually get, but it works. I've even used it for quarts, but very carefully.It's very easy to make the paint slosh over the side of a full can, regardless of the can's size. Use a low drill speed and watch carefully.UPDATE: A year later, I've probably used it 25 times, and while I'm still happy with it, it's showing wear. The attachment point at the bottom of the shaft is getting weak, and I've had to push the ring back into perpendicular alignment with the shaft, so I expect that joint to break soon. When that happens, I'll probably buy another just like this - like I said a year ago, it does the job well.ANOTHER UPDATE: It did break. I bought a replacement at HD that has plastic paddles on a steel shaft. Hoping for a better experience.

It's not fair as it was my mistake, but it's pretty small. I mixed 5 gallon buckets of quickset, drywall mud, and paint. Mixed all items well. Took a tad longer than a larger mixer but constancy of the product was easy to attain.I use a Bosch hammer drill with the chuck adapter. I might be able to use a tree branch and mix products with that tool. Anyway, this is a quality mixer. Gets the whole bucket mixed in without leaving areas on the side or bottom that clump together. A perfect mixer for 1 gallon size paints and products.

Pretty dinged up and the bottom was bent badly. Unclear if it was due to shipping/handling or not. I didn’t have time to seek a replacement, so I used it anyways. It worked ok for mixing small (<1 gallon) buckets of mortar.
