Absolutely in love with this!
So, I've been quietly watching Yarn Mania for a while now. Found them when I was searching for an alternative to buying individually packaged, bigger hooks. This was a year ago when their second generation hooks were out. However, there weren't any sizes that I didn't already have and I didn't have any spare funds. And unfortunately, my internet was very picky in letting me access their main shop, so I bought from here instead. In August of this year, they released their third generation. And might I say, wow! This is pretty much the best combination of small lighting and big hooks in one package. The hooks look like the typical, squeaky aluminum hooks out there. But actually, it's very comparable to Clover Amour hooks in how smooth it is against yarn. It's a tad too smooth, as Clover has just a smidge of drag. However, that's not a complaint as it doesn't effect my stitch making. It's just an observation of the texture differences. Granted, I've only tested this on 100% mercenized cotton so far, but nonetheless, I feel it's a very worthy purchase when I finally had some spare cash. It's very customizable and very comfortable, it form fits my hand nicely as a knife holder. Also, when looking at sizes, go by the mm. The sizing letter is really inaccurate, but not the mm size. It's very accurate going by that.I'm still getting used to it, and so my only con could disappear: I have small, petite and feminine hands. The length of both the hook attachment and the handle is a bit long in comparison to my Clover Amour set. As I said though, I'm still adjusting.I highly, highly recommend this entire line of hooks for both beginners and masters of crochet, regardless. It's customizable, it's sold and patented by a mom and pops that has loads of bonuses just for following their social media, and in general it saves you from having to buy individual, overpriced single packaged hooks by featuring many various sizes over the 3 different generations.

A must have
The media could not be loaded. I love everything about this set . I'm glad I read reviews and talked to people this set lights up from the back of the hood that's how I like it. Some sets the hook lights up. This one is aluminum or something the other one is plastic and bends. I can crochet hours and hours because it's comfortable. Let me say I am a little person with little hands so this is a big hook for me. Probably regular size for regular size humans 😆 idk 🤷♀️ I just know it's comfortable to crochet with longer hook than clover brand , I do like my clovers but even with my little hands they are small so there's that this had 3 different color sleeves to change color hook. I liked the pink there yellow and red and blue I think 🤔 idk they were ugly I threw them out sorry they just took up space. It comes with lots of accessories you will need. I made a video. I wouldn't sleep on this hook set. I have probably over 70 hooks around my house and this is the only set I use

The shape is the best. The materials, not so much.
Only Yarnmania handles have a curve that goes past the centerline, so you can make your hand the fulcrum, instead of applying leverage from outside the center of effort. Most days, this is the only handle I can hold. So, until another company comes up with this pronounced curve, I have to keep buying whole kits because - another ding, Yarnmania - they don't sell the handles separately. The socket is made of a plastic that gets soft over time and cracks. Once it cracks around one of the flanges holding the hook in, it's doomed. Won't hold a hook any more. And now I've got all these hooks I can't use.A painted, fitted metal cuff there would be awesome, or more/better plastic.

Solid investment even without the rechargeable light!
I love that I can use it at night and not disturb the rest of the family. I like that it shines a light in the hook without blinding me. One change I would make and it's an easy at home fix is to darken the end. So the light only shines forward. I wrapped a dark paper around the end and taped it. Perfect. But I'm not ready to paint the end as I might find times when I need the extra light. A small black rubber sleeve would be a fabulous accessory. It took a few solid hours to get used to the grip to get back to the speed that I'm used too.I'm a knife holder with arthritis. The hook is very light and almost floats in my grip. I love the feel of the silicone sleeve and like that it's changeable. The hook can be inserted in two directions so you can find a grip that works best for you as an individual.I also appreciate metal interchangeable hooks. I feel they are sturdy and will hold up to many years of use. I did buy the extra sizes as I enjoy amigarumi as well as bulky projects. The sizes are printed on the bases of the hooks with American letters and metric sizes.I do wish the hooks were a little slicker. But at less than half the cost of Clovers and my favorites Tulip Entimos. I honesty feel they are a solid investment. The case is a sold zipper case with hard foam inserts to keep your tools well protected in any environment. The customer service is incredible. I had few questions and was contacted back the same day with positivity and helpfulness. That is a joy in this day and age.I will update this review if I find anything changes.
