Works great on tomatoes, herbs, and other veggies!
I have had great success with all of Jobe's Organic products (previously purchased the fertilizer specifically for tomatoes and vegetable plants). So far this all purpose fertilizer has yielded just as good results as the tomato-specific fertilizer, and was much cheaper than the tomato specific fertilizer from Amazon at the time of purchase. My tomatoes, peas, herbs, and greens are looking vibrantly green and healthy. I just sprinkle a little of the fertilizer over the soil every few weeks, and water thoroughly afterward (or do it just before a rainstorm!). It is potent stuff, and seems to do a lot of work with just a little bit of application making it very much worth the price! As other reviewers noted, the smell is pretty funky but I have come to expect that from good organic fertilizer and I much prefer it to the gross chemical smell of synthetic fertilizers.

Doesn't cost an arm and a leg but delivers results
Lots of fertilizer for the price! This beats standing by the granular fertilizer display at your local organic gardening store, puzzling over which fertilizer to get and how much money to part with. I've used the expensive mixes and the cheap stuff, and this is a good mid-point for both price and quality.I had a bed of death, with a poorly composted mix of planting soil that was still half mulch, robbing the soil of vital nitrogen and stunting all that I tried to plant. After ripping out the nearly dead peppers, I mixed in about 1/3 of this box of fertilizer and planted new veggies. Now they're taking over! The basil is as tall as I am, the peppers loom even higher, and my beans are as happy as can be. It's not a miracle worker, but really made a world of difference without making me go broke. All my newly planted veggies get a sprinkling of fertilizer in their planting hole, and I periodically (when the urge strikes or I remember) sprinkle some on the garden bed before a good rain. Plants are looking good and I'm happy as a clam.

Fantastic fertilizer! Plentiful harvests that keep coming
This product was an excellent addition to fertilizer regimen for my summer garden this year. Since I don't have a big yard, I concentrate only on growing veggies in container and hence will be reviewing this product for growing vegetables in containers.Having grown in containers on a very small scale for two subsequent years I realized this year that I wanted to have enough plants this summer such that my gardening was more than just a hobby and I could get some decent quantity of harvest. Container soil with additives is really expensive and it is also a terrible waste to buy fresh soil each season. With that in mind I decided to use my old soil that I have been using for the past two years and also since I was also adding some huge containers to my garden, decided to experiment with using cheap top soil with no additives and adding my own fertilizers and nutrients. Now I never use synthetic chemical fertilizers for my garden because (a) they are notorious for going into your local water bodies as run-offs and gradually but steadily disturbing your local ecosystem and (b) they basically destroy all the beneficial bacteria and fungi that you might have in your soil that keep the soil healthy and promotes healthy growth in plants. In the past I have used all liquid fertilizer that has worked well but the problem with that is that I needed to mix that in watering can every alternate watering and when you have as many plants as I was planning to have that becomes too tedious. So started looking for some combination of solid fertilizers and soil additives that I could add to the soil and essentially forget about for the better part of the season. When I transplanted my seedlings in early summer I used a combination of earthworm castings, Kelp meal and 'Down to earth' Biolive fertilizer which was essentially a mix of marine byproducts mainly crab meal and fish bone meal. I thought this in combination with some bat guano, that I would add later in the summer, would be enough for a nice crop. However even after three weeks of warm weather and bright sun, the seedlings grew very slowly and had started to get pale discolored leaves. Realizing that this could be because of nutrient deficiency and that the down to earth fertilizer was not good enough, I looked for an organic fertilizer that could correct the deficiency and fast. Thats when I found this product and since it promised to deliver fast result I decided to give it a go.Lo and behold, within a week of scratching this product into the top soil all my plants looked as if they had been jolted awake. They started growing greener, bigger leaves and I was happy to see that there were plenty of flower buds also developing on 'adolescent' plants.I will let the pictures speak for themselves but I will say that I am very impressed with this fertilizer. I have fed my plants only twice this season, once with this fertilizer and once with a half and half mixture of this and the Jobe's Rose and Flower fertilizer (this one has a higher potassium content that is needed for flower and fruit development). Yet the harvests have been multiple and plentiful, the fruits are flavorful and this fertilizer has completely surpassed all my expectations. I have already giving away many tomatoes and eggplants to friends and neighbors which is something I never expected to do when gardening only in containers. Yes this fertilizer is smelly but once worked into the soil it doesn't have any odor, for humans at least. And my philosophy is that the smelly fertilizers are always the best ones since that means that there is real decomposed organic matter in there which your plants will love.

Good results despite uneven application
The fertilizer works well, and the bag will last a long time. Overall very good.My only problem is that, because you use relatively little- and because it doesn't dissolve in water, I found it hard to distribute the product evenly. My veggies didn't seem to mind and perked up right away. Peppers with leaves that were turning pale green even started regaining color. It does not smell good, but the smell doesn't stick around after you finish using it. Not great, but no real problem unless you are very sensitive to smells. My take- Go for it, it's a good value and I saw good results, just don't try to put it in your watering can.

Effective for fruiting vegs with results
Effective fertilizers for organic gardening. It's very easy to apply, great value for money, and the size is just right. We highly recommend it for fruiting vegs. This is one of my fav fertilizer if you have no time to create your own compost. It does not burn plants.

New To Plants
It's easy and it works. I put some in the container and a couple days later my plants were blooming. This product is way better than liquid fertilizer in my opinion. With liquid fertilizer I have to put it in water and be careful with how much I put (killed my first plant by putting too much liquid fertilizer), but with this, it's easy to grab a handful of these little balls and just put them at the base of the pot.
