Relives the pressure on both pouch and ostomate
These are great, and I hope the creator eventually makes a ton of money off it when the pouch manufacturers finally get smart and add the technology to the pouches. Simple to install, works well. Relieves the gas in the pouch, while also relieving your stress from having to vent a bag while out and about. No more possible mess while trying to pop the pouch seal.Although the profile is low, I do turn over the top of the pouch to fold this in and protect it from accidentally getting caught. To open the vent, just squeeze on the tabs on the side. I suggest making sure you are NOT putting pressure on the bag right then to avoid any output being pushed into the hole of the vent. Otherwise, let out the pressure, recap the vent, spray a little deodorizer if (especially if you are out a public restroom), and off you go.I put tape over the usual carbon filter vent on the pouch now, and just use the Osto-EZ-Vent. Those filter vents are a joke anyway. Once they get any output on the inner surface they just smell all the time, and as a pressure release they just don't work fast enough. By taping over the filter, and being able to easily vent the bag with the Osto-EZ-Vent, I don't have that constant "perfume" happening. Thanks Osto-EZ-Vent!

Easy to use and effective.
I learned about this product from the "Phoenix" magazine. I have been using them for several months and have been very happy with them. I have not had any problems with them leaking or coming off. I haven't had issues with them getting snagged on clothing. I prep several bags at a time for convenience since it is advised to affix the product 24 hours before use to allow the item to "cure" and adhere to the bag. I also make sure to clean the surface of the bag with the 90% rubbing (isopropyl) alcohol before attaching the vent to the bag. The only "oops" I had was due to forgetting to cut out the hole to let the air out before putting the bag on. This vent works so much better than a filter to address ballooning.

They're over-priced but...
That's because they know how valuable the freaking things are and . If you use a 2 piece adhesive bag system, they definitely reduce both accidents from constantly weakening the adhesive by burping, and for the same reason, reduce the number of bags you go through per wafer, which saves money. You may come out even in the end, I know I'm paying a bit more overall, but these make life so much easier. I would take the small, controlled miscalculation through this vent over a miscalculation burping a bag. I can open it quickly and get all the air out of my bag in bed without sitting up, which is great at night, or sneaky pretty much wherever I am (im using an effective deodorant, I'm not a total monster) It does clog, but the pin that goes in the hole actually has a point, and I find if I just hold the circle steady on the other side of the bag, and then press the lid in further, basically smoosh the thing together till I feel the little point just touch my finger through the opposite side of the bag, it's usually unclogged by that and then I can vent the bag. For me, it just makes things so much more manageable, and I'm willing to not wear my galaxy cat pj pants that are the only pants that always yank these off the bags, if that's what I have to give up. The control, the reduced disasters, the doing 'a fart' half asleep and then drifting back off so my bag doesn't overinflate at night and my lazy butt doesn't have to get up, the saved expense in bags, and the ability to threaten my teenage boy with the release of a fart anywhere, at any time, should he attempt to fart on me because he thinks I can't fight back, are priceless. But to the suppliers, by priceless I do mean your prices are whack and you keep raising them and you're probably a scrooge. Keep doing it and eventually, we will come for you with bags full of unpleasantness. I'll organize a march into your building after a cheese luncheon, so help me.

Game changer!
Such a simple concept but solves such a problematic issue. They're easy to put on, and it is so nice to be able to just pop the cap off and release the gas without having to go through all the trouble of unrolling the tail of the bag and squeeze out the air without shooting poop on yourself LOL. Game changer!

Quality has declined
What the hell did you change? I loved this product. It made life so much easier. But now, the adhesive doesn't stick and it makes life even worse. For years, I've previously gone weeks with the same bag and vent with no problems. Now I've had 4 vents fall off in the last week resulting in disaster. Beyond disappointed.

Former 5 star product is no more
This was a fantastic product for the first year I used it. No tears, leaks, or problems with the closure. Something is wrong with the production as the clasps do not stay closed, their isn't click to tell you it is secure. It pops open easily and is venting gas. So disappointed as this was such a great innovation and the only one out there with good reviews please fix the manufacturing as I will stop purchasing until I hear of a product improvement.

Great Product!
These vents are easy to place on my colostomy bags, and easy to use. Instead of having a big balloon of gas sticking up from my pants I can open the vent and release the accumulated gas simply by opening the vent hole.My only complaint is that occasionally when I remove the button from the vent, the gas doesn’t release. When this happens, which is rare, I just use a toothpick to fully open the hole which should have been created when the vent was attached.
