My husband takes soup to work during the cold Montana winters. I make sure I boiled water and put in the thermos to get the insides real hot... drain it out then add soup. It stays hot for 4 hours or so. It all depends on how long u leave the top off.

I don’t like microwaves but I like hot food for lunch when at work. I use it to keep my lunch warm. I warm my food in the morning and put it in the thermal jug; it is still just as warm, sometimes hot as it was when first prepared. I too like the fact that it has a spork that fits on the side so that I am never without a spoon or fork to eat with and it holds more than enough to fill me up but small enough to fit in my smaller to average size lunch box. Love it!
