I used these on some holes I drilled out on my deck, so I could run extension cable under the deck. I don't recall what hole drill bit size I used, but it was in a set I have for door knobs. Because they're near walls and not really exposed too much I felt this will hold up well. They're look nice, fit nice and snug with some caulk, and they're an inexpensive solution for something like that.

Used a 2 inch hole saw and the grommet fit tightly. I can only assume from other reviewers stating that the hole they drilled was too big was that they were either not using the proper method to drill, using the wrong type of drill bit, or the company did in fact change the product to better fit a 2 inch hole. Either way I'm incredibly happy with the result. The grommet piece that fits into the hole is hard plastic, while the top is either rubber or a very malleable plastic. The price for 5 of these on Amazon is roughly the same cost as one at my local hardware store. I have no use for the other 4, but at least now I have spares should the one installed breaks or if I need another for a different project.

At 2 inches wide they're a little smaller than I wanted but work just fine. I installed in an Ikea desktop and they are also on the short side not reaching to the bottom of the drilled hole.

They fit the 2" holes in my granite desktop perfectly and give a finished look to my livestreaming setup with its numerous cables.

I used in the side of my desk. Looks good. Easy.

Quality pieces that really help with cable management. I chose the 2 3/8" size because I had quite a few cables I needed to feed through it and thought the 2 1/2" would be too big. The size turned out to be a good choice, however, be aware you will most likely need to purchase a hole saw as the 2 3/8" diameter is NOT a common size.I have two newer Milwaukee hole saw sets (one is 7 piece the other a 10 piece), along with a couple of other older multi-piece sets I inherited. I was surprised to learn that none of the sets included the 2 3/8" size and neither did the overwhelming majority of new sets I searched online. Other than that, they're well worth it.

It's great for running wires through a metal cabinet.
