Same brand the big name companies use, 1/3 of the price.
Saved myself over $100 by ordering it directly and learning how to replace my own anode rod, which should be done yearly. This is year 2 of getting the same rods, and they haven't let me down. You can install it right out of the box, just ensure you learn how to release the pressure of the hot water heater so you aren't hurt. Will be ordering for year 3 too.

Fit under the beam and into the tank just fine
I chose this anode rod because my water heater sits directly under the floor beam and I only had about 1.5' of clearance. This rod is perfect for tight clearances.Glad I changed out the rod cuz it was as narrow as a toothpick when I pulled it out!I used an impact drill to open the nut to get the original anode rod out, BUT make sure your impact drill is a really really strong one. I ended up calling the plumber cuz I couldn't tighten that nut back firmly enough. But it's still cheaper than a new water heater!

Not sure.. too early to tell
I’ve now installed my third water heater, as the previous two developed leaks just before the warranty expired. I'm not holding out much hope for this one, and we’ve also been dealing with our dishes smelling after every wash, despite having a new dishwasher and using city water. To address this, I decided to try a powered anode rod. These rods all operate on the same principle: a titanium rod powered by a small energy source that helps eliminate sulfur and rotten egg smells.Removing the old anode rod was straightforward—if you have an impact tool to break it loose, then switch to a ratchet. Be cautious with the impact tool to avoid increase of rotational motion, which could be problematic if the rod is heavily worn or corroded... just a fyi.Installing the powered rod was simple: just plug it in and forget about it. But b4 doing that, I wanted to perform a few checks. Out of the box, I measured 3 volts between the metal casing and the titanium rod. I noticed that when I plugged in the transformer, the LED was lit even before connecting it to the rod. What I would of liked to have seen is the LED light up ONLY when rod was plugged in indicating the rod is functional and drawing minimal current. Just not knowing how reliable this product is, I guess only way to check is remove the rod and measure voltage every 6 months/yr/2yrs...Cheers

Great replacement
The media could not be loaded. Great price. Fit perfect. Old rod is photoed along with new rod next to it. Original rod was about 8 yrs old. Hope I’ll get another 8 years more out of my tank now! Should eliminate the rotten egg smell I get from time to time.

No more rotten egg smell
Our water heater original anode was rotted and needed replaced after installing the water heater 2-year prior. Our well water must be hard on the water heaters. We experienced a bad odor of rotten eggs for awhile. After researching, I came across the electrical anode. I didn't want to keep replacing the traditional anodes and experience the smell again, so I purchased the electric anode. Within 2-hours, our water heater no longer had odor, and was pure clean hot water. I'd recommend this device over the more expense ones. I also purchased the same electric anode for my work water heater that is a much larger unit. It too worked on the larger water heater. Happy customer..

Does not fit my Bradford White Hot Water Heater
My experience was the same as the other One Star review. The nipple is not long enough that screws into the tank. Don't forget, these are Stainless Steel fittings that are provided. It is not advised to replace the short stainless steel fitting with something other like galvanized. So I have to order a longer stainless steel nipple. In retrospect I should have ordered the more expensive $160 electric anode rod. It would have saved me a lot of lost time, energy and frustration.UPDATE: Bought the Stainless Steel 4" nipple. Stainless Steel nipple 3/4 mnpt x 3/4 mnpt x 4". It came in one day, ordered from Amazon. 12 wraps of Teflon tape AND lots of Pipe Dope, there are no leaks. It is imperative that you use both the Teflon tape and the pipe thread dope. The nipple was about $8. The system is up and running!
