I bought a large tube of this sunscreen for a trip to Mexico after reading about it on the EWG site for safe sunscreens. I liked that it had a low risk score and a high SPF. The sunscreen smelled nice (much better than the drugstore spray bottles my friends used), and was easily applied. The large tube lasted an entire week at the beach, with multiple applications daily, and there was some left over after a week's use. If you're buying it for 2+ people for the beach, I'd suggest bringing more than one tube.Results: It did work to prevent sunburn, although I was in the sun for many hours each day and burned a couple of times when I neglected to reapply. You do have to reapply every couple of hours, and to get it to stick you should dry off before reapplying after being in the water.Cons: Personally, I hate having to apply sunscreen in a lotion form, but it is more effective so that's what I use. You just have to wash your hands after applying - before eating or touching your face or eyes. Zinc sunscreens also leave white streaks *everywhere* - on your skin, on your clothes, your towels, your sunglasses. It's annoying and has ruined clothes and swimsuits in the past. So far this one seems to come off when wiped or rubbed with a towel, but I'll have to see at the end of the season how my swimsuits and coverups hold up to it. Finally, I found that this sunscreen is, in fact, greasy, unlike the company's claims. It feels light, but slick, while it's on, although I don't notice it much at all after being in the water. And I noticed it takes a little extra soap to remove in the shower.So long as the most effective sunscreens are in the zinc lotion format I'll continue to use it, but I really dislike the white streaks, stains, and greasy feeling. It's a small price to pay for sunburn prevention, skin cancer prevention, and anti-aging!
