Exceptional At-Home Coffee and Looks Great
I’ve used Mueller 20 oz Stainless Steel French press for the last week and I’ve been very pleased with this product and the coffee it produces. Dollar for dollar, when paired with a good burr grinder, I don’t know that I’ll find a better way to make a great cup of coffee!I use the OXO Burr Conical Coffee Grinder set at 14 grind setting (coarse) and Peet’s Major Dickinson whole bean coffee and grind three level coffee scoops of beans for about 12 seconds to produce the grounds. After placing ground coffee in the pre-heated carafe, I add just enough hot (205 degree F) water to cover the grounds, stir and let the grounds “bloom” a bit (30 seconds). Then I add 205 degree water to the press to the fill line, stir a bit, and place the top on the press (with plunger up). I let the coffee brew for four minutes. Then I confirm the arrow on the top of the press is pointing towards the handle and press the plunger slowly. Before I had the burr grinder I did experiment using pre-ground Peet’s drip coffee grounds in this press. I pushed the plunger very slowly and poured from the press carefully. The coffee tasted great and there was very fine grounds in the bottom of the coffee cup—to be expected. I drank the coffee slowly and discarded the last little bit of coffee.I really like the double-wall insulation. I preheat the press with near boiling water first, then heat the water I’ll use to make the coffee. The press works very well and keeps the coffee warm for the second mug. The 20 oz size is good if you want two 8-10 oz mugs of coffee as I do each morning. If you need more coffee consider the larger press by Mueller. The clean-up is easy. Once all the coffee has been poured, I remove the top/plunger and shake the grounds out into the trash can. I then use a small silicon spatula to easily remove the remaining grounds from the carafe and place them in the trash. Then the entire press is washed in soap and water. I unscrew the filter portion and wash each part and then completely dry before reassembly. If you don’t disassemble and clean each filter part, then you run the risk of small grounds and water trapped between the filter parts which can affect the taste of your coffee. The stainless steel construction looks very good and feels very sturdy. I’m very happy with this Mueller French Press. I’ve owned and used several other French presses over the years and this is my favorite and my favorite way of making coffee at home. The only coffee I’ve tasted that has been better was from my sister’s very expensive espresso/coffee barista machine at ~20-30(?) times the cost! Maybe someday I can justify that investment and the space on the counter? In the mean time, the Mueller French Press is creating exceptional coffee![Additional comparison thoughts: To get the best results from a French press you do need a way to create consistent coarse coffee grinds. The OXO Burr Conical Coffee Grinder is one of the most affordable and high quality grinders I found in my research. You can find it on Amazon. So between the OXO grinder and the Mueller French press I’ve invested about $120 (the grinder was on sale a few days ago!). So comparing the burr grinder and French press together, the high-end espresso/coffee barista machine is about 6-8 times that cost and 4-5 times the volume on the counter.]

LOVE, non breakable so no worries wondering if water is too hot or for traveling packing so easy
FINALLY the perfect coffee and tea steeper, light weight yet heavy sturdy construction. Easy to clean for the larger size can fit my lady hand inside to whipe out. The engraved oz inside needs to be readable have to have bright lighting to be able to see the oz measurements, eyeballing it sometimes I waste expensive coffee using too much water. It's still the PERFECT french press. The glass ones can and do crack and for me it always ruined the ritual experience worried about that, plus I pack for road trips a lot and now I don't have to worry about breaking.

Happiness!
I'm extremely satisfied with this coffee press. Due to a caffeine sensitivity, I drink only decaf. My favorite is dark French roast. When using this lovely, all stainless-steel French press, I can control the heat of the pitcher and the strength of the brew. Ah-mazingly delicious! And it cleans up quickly and easily. I wanted a stainless-steel press because I keep reading about the dangerous consumption of plastic nanoparticles especially when in conjunction with heat. Most in-home coffee makers have plastic heating containers for the water and filter through plastic filter holders. Even when they have a glass coffee pitcher, the coffee has been brewed and filtered through plastic. The glass pitchers don't always hold up well either. (i.e. read: dropped on floor) I used the pour-over method with a glass receptacle for a while but was gifted this and I've found it to be an excellent product for a highly enjoyable cup of coffee. I rarely buy a cup of coffee because what I make at home is the best quality and brewed to my particularly picky standard.

Works Well but Small
I had been considering a french press for a few years and when my last drip maker burned out I made the switch. I do think this makes better tasting coffee than I was getting before. Not as good as my Aero-press that I use occasionally, but definitely better than drip. The instructions are clear to use course ground coffee, but I just use the Folgers that comes out of the canister already ground. The filtering system is good enough that I don't get any grounds in my coffee and just a little bit of sediment. Very acceptable.I purchased this one for the dual wall for keeping the coffee hot. Turns out this one is too small and I can't get two servings for both me and my wife (four servings total) so we haven't had an issue with it getting cold. This is a good coffee press and I would recommend it if it was bigger. I'll probably have to buy another one if I don't want to make multiple brews every morning.

Just What You Want It To Be
This is just a good quality piece of kit. It is well made, fit and finish is good, with a clear marking for the spout being open. It does not look out of place at a formal dinner table or an office setting. Some spare filters are a bonus. The thermal properties are good enough to keep your coffee hot for as long as it takes to drink a pot, but it's not trying to be a Thermos Flask. It's a fair price for a dishwasher safe cafetière of this quality. Recommended.

NO PLASTIC, great construction, replacement filters, easy to clean, good quality
Beautiful construction. And shout out to design solutions not using any plastic, one of the principle reasons I choose this french press. The package arrives with around 5 replacement filters. The "push down" of the filter is smooth and tight. Coffee is perfectly free of coffee grinds. Easy to clean and a great size for 4/5 cups of coffee.
