Quality trim kit that installs well
I like Moen for their ease of installation. Note that you need a shower/tub valve already - this is the trim kit only. Make sure you install the tub spout properly - it needs to be a copper pipe so as not to create back pressure that causes stacking. All components installed easily and the system looks good.

Good value for matte black, don’t use wrenches on the finished portion.
I liked the price of this product compared to all other black matte tub and shower combo kits. For those that are having trouble with the paint flaking off, you should not be using any wrench on the finished surface.Specifically for the shower arm, you should put it on as tight as you can with your hands, then take a screw driver and place in inside the shower arm and use that as leverage to tighten it into position. For the shower head, you can put it on hand tight, then place plumbers tape or a cloth on the grips of your wrench and tighten just past hand-tight. As long as you use plumbers tape on your pipe threads you should not have any leaks. The shower head flow is weak compared to me previous shower head, but it’s adequate. I can imagine if you already have poor flow, it would be abysmal. The tub spout has a somewhat non-uniform pour but is sufficient. The shower valve was the trickiest part for me, but I finally figured it out. I just used the black sleeve to cover the old sleeve and did not use the other white plastic parts. If you have an older shower valve like me, the mounting holes for the trim are at 5 and 7 o’clock. This piece of trim has the holes at 3 and 7 o’clock. In order to fully secure the trim piece it is necessary to order the Moen 145058 adapter kit or change out your valve. I don’t want to change out my valve so I paid about $15 for an adapter kit. The trim piece is on with one screw until the adapter piece comes in the mail. Also, don’t forget to buy the trim pieces to cover for the drain cover and overflow faceplate.Hope this helps.

Brought my bathrooms up to date!
I recently replaced my 1222 shower cartridge and realized I can easily update the look of my restrooms without changing my shower valves that were installed 20+ years ago. I actually love that Moen stuck with the same guts, giving us that ability to update the trim even after so many years! If you live in California, you know the struggle is real finding a good high pressure shower head as we are restricted to 1.8GPM because of CA Title 20 regulations. I wasn’t planning on using the included shower head for that reason but since it came with the set anyways, I thought I would try to remove the red flow restrictor. I got it out and it makes the shower head 100x better to the point that I ended up using it! It’s in there good but I just drove a screw into it so I have something for my pliers to grab onto, and yanked it right out.I also wasn’t crazy about the tub spout from prior experience. My friend has a new build and these were installed by the builder. Not even a year later, all three restrooms had issues with the tub spouts. My old spout was threaded and it would be too much work anyways to get these to work so I picked up a different one I knew was reliable and happy to have that peace of mind.Overall, happy with the product and the finish. They have a good weight to them and feel like good quality. I accidentally dropped one of the shower handles during the install. It fell about 4 ft and bounced around my tiled shower. I thought the finish was for sure marred but was pleasantly surprised it had absolutely no damage.

Looks great, easy to install, but tub spout sprays everywhere
This was surprisingly easy to install, after a terrible experience installing a Moen faucet on my vanity. The trim kit looks great, the valve/handle work well and feel high quality. (I'm not using the shower head, I got a delta one with a rain head and a detachable wand)The tub spout is kind of a disaster though; when using the spout and not the shower head, the water is spraying all over the place. It's loud and it gets water everywhere. It's like the bathroom faucet when you take the aerator out.Good for the price, but I expected Moen products to work perfectly.

Fantastic trim kit
This trim kit looks fantastic and installed easily. I had almost zero experience with plumbing or replacing fixtures prior to this and was able to get this installed in less than an hour after watching an instructional YouTube video. Make sure to run a bead of silicone along the top edge of the escutcheon plate and tub spout (run it between about 10 and 2 depending on the size of the hole behind each) to prevent moisture dripping into the walls. Overall very pleased with this purchase - it gave our shower an update it very much needed.

Way better than what you get at Lowe's
These are much better quality handle and spigot than Lowe's. You pay a little bit more and you get something much better. For now on I'm buying just mowing products and not aftermarket from Lowe's or Home Depot. Everything is metal and very high quality. Worth the higher price.
