Yes they will run into each other if you carry the tube vertically. Instead of putting the tube in my backpack, I put it in a separate large plastic grocery bag so that the tube can sit horizontally at the bottom. The palette garage is a genius invention! Paints stay wet for weeks! Enjoy!

Q: Does the clove oil affect the drying time of the painting after it was exposed to it for some time? Does it then take longer to dry?

the clove oil retards the drying "oxidation" of the paint inside the palette garage that is exposed to the aerosols (vapor) of the clove oil. Once the paint is applied to a painting, it will dry as normal, depending on which if any mediums you added to the paint. If you want to extend drying time on the painting, then you would have to mix your paint with clove oil -- using the clove oil as your medium. Again, using the palette garage with clove oil wicks will not affect the drying time of your painting.

Q: Going to a workshop then if I put it in the "fridge" in the garage, and don't open, would it stay fresh for 3 more weeks while I travel?

Haven’t tried that one but when I use a plane pallet and put it in the freezer, paint on a palette tends to last a very long time. If you’re too lazy to clean your brushes and that kind of thing, the freezer works. You’ve got to wait until condensation evaporated before using the paint.

Q: Where do I find palette garage for acrylic paint?

I don’t think that exists. The clove oil wouldn’t keep acrylic paint from drying out.
