Make it easy on yourself
I purchased KC Daylighters some years ago but could not find the wiring harness and ordered this set to wire up to my boat for a planned 3 day hunting trip in the waters of Southeast Alaska and this harness makes it so easy to hook up, simple straight forward, all wires labeled. Took me about 40 minutes to wire 2 sets of Daylighter packages to my boat and watch them light up the night. Perfect for the job.

good but not great
These lights are what we expect from KC. Good looking, durable and flexable wiring harness. But like most companies they have started to cut corners and i found out where. i used to have the 130 watt lights on my last truck and never had a issue till i sold the truck took the lights off and dropped one and smashed the lens. with the last set i used the full smiley covers all the time. With these i take off with my new lights get one exit down the highway and notice that the covers are so flimsy they melted because of the heat the lights gave off. i had the same covers on my last truck for 3 years and used them all the time. i would have paid much more to get a second set of my old ones back.

A GREAT kit!
This is an awesome kit. It fit my Jeep Wrangler perfectly, and I had no trouble hooking it up... and I'm not a mechanic - or even all that mechanically inclined. I wired it strait to my battery, so that the lights would work even when the engine wasn't running, but the instructions were very detailed on how to wire it up to have it come on when you wanted. I think I made a fantastic choice!

wiring harnes
worked just fine . wanted the connectors that were in the picture for the older lights instead got the newer connectors and had to change the ends to connect the lights

GREAT KIT
Best choice i made when putting axillary lights on my truck. Kit was simple and easy. Installation of lights and light bar took longer than wiring. Would definitely buy again. I bought a fuse block but did not use because this kit was easier. By the time i priced out all the wire, switches, relays fuses, connectors, and breakers I was well over 100 dollars. Harness is well constructed blends well in the engine bay and does not look like a rats nest.

Nice harness but could be better
A technician at KC HiLites told me I needed this harness to go with the Gravity G6 led inserts I bought. The harness is well made with more than enough length to reach everything in my 2011 Ram 1500. But the harness connector didn't match the pigtail on the bulbs (see photo). Seems like either the bulb inserts or the harness should have come with an adaptor. No big deal to replace the harness connector with a female quick disconnect, but still.

Do not buy
Please, if you don't have a background in electrical wiring or automotive do NOT buy this product!!! The main issue is the directions are very, very vague. I tried using this to hook up the ProComp lights on the A pillar on my 08 Jeep Wrangler and I ended up cutting it up and using parts, like the wire sleeves to protect the wires I had to run instead of using this kit. KC has no idea how to make up a wiring kit for the do-it-yourselfers, I refused to pay 4 wheel parts $200 to install the lights I got for free, so I decided to do it myself and ended up using parts from my local Auto Zone. The job is done and it looks great, but I am very sorry I waisted my $$ on this POS product. Most of this kit ended up in the local landfill. Absolute JUNK!!!!

KC Products are some of the best on the market.
Purchased this kit to wire my running lights on the Jeep. The lights were factory and even had a factory wire connected, but no place in the cab to turn the lights on and off. The owners manual showed a switched on the end of the blinker control arm, but my model (2002 Jeep Wrangler Sport) didn't have this option. I read several online reviews and decided to go with the KC model because of the 40 AMP relay and that it had multiple fuses. I modified the kit by clipping the connectors that would normally go with KC HiLites and wired them to my existing bumper lights. I replaced the rocker switch ground and the relay ground with longer wires so I could connect to my frame to firewall ground and the inside the cab ground locations, respectively. For the Rocker switch, I went with the Daystar KU80014 20 AMP Red Light kit, so I could use it with the existing cutouts that most Jeeps come with already on the dash. The 3 wires from the relay connected directly to the Daystar kit without any problems. I recommend this kit to anyone needing to wire exterior lights on any truck or automobile.
