Five stars for Arianne's Richmonde's first book in this movie star romance!
I love Arianne's take on the jaded world of Hollywood with Shooting Star. Star Davis is the current "hot mess" of the celebrity gossip world. Fresh out of rehab, she is looking to recapture her waning career with the part of a lifetime. Jake Wild is a British director with a wild past of his own. He is looking for the perfect actress for his lasted movie "Skye's the Limit". There is only one problem, that decision has been made for him and he is not happy about it. Jake and Star come together under circumstances neither want to be in. Will they overcome their chaotic pasts and deny the undercurrent of lust that threats to boil over? One of my favorite qualities of Arianne's writing is her characters. They are not squeaky clean people. They're complicated, opinionated, and come with a lot of baggage. It makes for a very engrossing plot and high drama between the characters. Star Davis is not what she seems. At only 19, she's a veteran of the Hollywood child star circuit and has seen and done it all. Star is not afraid to say or do anything it takes to get what she wants. Jake is a product of Hollywood royalty. His family has been making movies for decades and Jake follows in their footsteps. He's also been indulging in the privileged lifestyle a bit too much. Even as Jake and Star clash, they have a lot in common. Arianne creates juicy angst and hot chemistry between them both.I'm a huge fan of movie star romances and Arianne does a fantastic job of crafting a story that could be straight out of OK Magazine. Many of her celebrity references are very accurate (I'm a Hollywood gossip junkie and I know my celebs) and the plot is salacious! The ending does have a bit of a cliffhanger, but nothing too jarring. It's enough to make you crave for the next installment of the series. I give Shooting Star five out of five stars!Written by Dee McGee - Booze, Bookz, and Bad Boyz

Story line good
I think the storyline was okay I have a really hard time with all the degrading slang in romance stories. I wholeheartedly believe the saying that I heard when I was a young teenager that goes something like this" profanity is the feeble effort of a weak mind to express itself forcibly " . It doesn't show much intelligence that people have to cuss and swear all the time there's so many other wonderful words to use to get the meaning a cross. I think writers nowadays are grasping to draw in the lower class of people with all of the filthy talk. Rewrite the story without the foul mouths and I would read the rest of the series.

Starlight, Star Bright... (came to mind.)
I was absorbed in the story, completely forgot it was a short read and suddenly it ended. What the heck? Oh yeah, this is book one in a trio. Feeling giddy that the story continues, happy that the book is already downloaded to my Kindle app and low at the same time. Knowing that book two will end on a cliffhanger, just as this first book does. It's a pet peeve, yet I continue to choose multiple story books because I love the author's that write them.Romance is in the air with these characters, but their youthful minds don't have the development needed plus life experience to act on it properly. Plenty of misdirection, love it or leave it attitude and desire to be the one in control. Yes, it's a great storyline and I'm excited to read more.If you like to read romance or young adult stories, them I highly recommend this book to you.

Star Wild.
I was given a ARC in exchange for my honest review.I have been waiting a very long time for something new from Ari and she did NOT disappoint. From the very start your attention is caught and it remains there until the very end. We meet Star a girl who has had a s***ty past and has been going through a lot and she wants to change her image. She wants the role of Skye and she will do everything to get it and let no one stand in her way. We meet Jake a bitter and wild director who has his doubts about Star and her newly found sobriety. He doesn't want his movie to be ruined. So to ensure it isn't and Star stays on track she must stay at his house. The two have a connection but each have their reasons to stay away. But the more Jake does, the more Star tries to capture his attention. And when she finally catches it, it may be more than she bargained for.Arianne delivers yet another stellar award worthy book! I am so excited for the next installment and to see where this series goes and how Star and Jake turn out."Keep it safe from me because I'm way too bad for you. My name is Wild. And I live up to my name."

Hollywood Scandals move over!
Extra! Extra! Read all about it!Yes, we have here the latest in Hollywood Scandals and it is bound to get scorching hot!Picture a nineteen year old Oscar winner super star who has done it all - sex, drugs, and alcohol. Add a sex addicted director. Throw in the requirement that he keep an eye on her since she just got out of rehab and they are making a movie together. So what have you got? A recipe for the most exciting series that our author Arianne Richmonde has written so far.Have to say, our heroine Sky sees the writing on the wall... she either flies straight with this movie and keeps her life clean, or her career is done for. She has done it all including being arrested. She has decided it is either straighten her life, or she might as well give up altogether. She appears strong enough and willing to achieve her goal... but with Jack around, temptation might turn out to be too much for her.I loved this first installment. It reminded me of some current stars that are always in the news. The party is over and it is time for hard work and reality checks. Looking forward to the next installment Falling Star!

DNF This Series
Couldn't finish this series of 3-books. They are very short and could have been condensed into one book. The story starts out strong, but fades fast. The main characters have almost too many issues to keep up with and it is difficult to connect with them. I also did not believe the connection the main characters had with each other.

2.5* to 2* - very OTT drama
2.5 to 3*Negatives:1. Too short to be a trilogy - should be 1 book2. Too much instaa-lust, no build-up or chemistry-laden "meet cute"3. Star's character was slap-worthy ANNOYING. **DIVA ALERT**After being released from rehab and vowing to change her life around and show the world she means business - I was hoping for a sophisticated, refined, and controlled character (she's an actress FFS how difficult would that be to manage??!!).Instead we have a ants-y, throwing-tantrums DIVA, TSTL drama queen.4. A surplus of characters and drama for such a short read with little depth.5. Writing style was immature with no substance. Tries too hard to be gritty but instead is silly.6. Star does the whole melodramatic acting, which is actually the easy stuff. An Oscar-winning performance means making mundane activities e.g. eating cereal resemble an art work e.g. Jennifer Lawrence won her Oscar by playing a happy-go-lucky wanna-be dancer with mental health issues in Silver Lining Play Book7. Posh English people don't say "course" - it is always "of course"-----------------------------------------Positives:1. It's fee (so is he 2nd book)2. The dirty talk is hot3. Hate / love books are a hot plot line (shame it wasn't executed so well here)

Too short
Way too short was just getting interesting after the rather long preamble just an exercise in teasing rather like the central character
