Best wok I have ever got
This is the best wok I have ever owned. It is so much better than the previous one I had. It’s pre-seasoned and Nothing stuck to it. It was easy to clean. It would make a great gift for any cook. It is comparable to name brand cast iron products.

Works even on an electric stove
I told my wife when she ordered this that it probably wouldn't work very well on our glass top stove based on previous experience but she proved me wrong. it has a flat bottom that retains heat well but thin enough sides to radiate some out giving the dual zone benefit that makes a wok work well.

They have to replace the lid

When I opened the package and picked up the lid it cut my finger and I was bleeding because of the crack in the wood.

Beautiful wok - very heavy
The media could not be loaded. This cast iron wok is really pretty. It comes with a beautiful wooden lid. This wok is not for sissy’s though - it weighs almost 14 lbs and is wide and deep. It will not be easy to move around once food is added. You will also need a larger space to store this. Those are my reasons for removing a star from the rating. However, cooking with cast iron is safer than cooking with Teflon. It also flavors food well. The instructions say not to wash this with soap, but simply wipe it down with edible oil after use (and a few times before first use). Overall, this is a heavy duty wok that I think will be fun to cook with! See my video and pictures for details.

Heavy but amazing
I LOVE this wok. All I use is cast and stainless. While I do have a stainless wok it is also harder to clean unless you use more oil than cast requires.And about the guy who sanded it without even trying it, he doesn't seem to know much about the science of why cast is non stick. You don't need to sand this, or any cast unless it's rusty. Even then steel wool will probably take care of most of it. As long as it's properly seasoned (and you know how to cook at least a little) you'll be fine. Mine was.

Don’t do it
This cast iron is so rough. Everything catches on it. I can’t even use a dry paper towel to wipe out excess grease. The lint stays behind. My lid came chipped and beat up but that’s no big deal.This was really difficult to clean and season. The roughness of the cast iron is awful.
