Buddha4all Tibet Monks Burgundy Red Wool Meditation Shawl from Tibet Yoga Meditation

The one I received is actually 44.5"x90". Not too far off, but still smaller than the stated. 46x96. Anyway, the quality is excellent. The fringe is a simple type, but that's to be expected for the price. Very, very soft and comfortable on bare skin. Just big enough to keep everything covered when seated in a meditation posture. The color is a beautiful deep burgundy. It also has a wonderful fragrance (not sure if it's Yak or the dye---never smelled a yak before). It's so rare these days to get something from Amazon that's not wildly different from the description and/or reeks of chemicals. So I'm giving 5 stars despite it being slightly smaller than stated.

This is a beautiful shawl made in Tibet. It's warm, non-scratchy, and the color is beautiful. Would make a lovely gift.

Soft, large, clearly hand-made, but not lightweight as advertised. This is thick and warm.

This shawl is light in weight but not flimsy; it weighs 27.7 ounces and feels sturdy. It rests lightly on my shoulders and keeps me warm. The color is red, but with a slightly orange hue. Mine is bigger than advertised, measuring 46.5 x 103 inches. It covers me completely when I meditate, with more than enough left over to tuck under my toes. It’s big enough that I could sleep under it and it has a cozy, comforting feel.When the shawl first arrived, it had a bit of a plasticky smell from its packaging. However, after only a little exposure to the environment, it now spells wonderful and fresh… almost outdoorsy.I like this shawl a lot, but I gave it three stars because it sheds. I waited before I wrote this review to see if it would stop shedding, but it hasn’t, and the shedding causes it to look shaggy, which makes it look worn and cheap. I even put it through the dryer once, with no heat, just to collect the excess wool. Not much came out; it just comes out slowly on a daily basis.I’ve had the shawl two months now, and it continues to shed, making it look old and ratty; so while I still like it, it no longer has the beautifully smooth surface that it had when it was new (see photos).

el chal no es de lana. Probé la tela. Tiene material sintético en el mantón. La tela es áspera, no suave. Muy caro por sintetico.
