BRASS Accents A09-P0830-613KPMAG Oil Rubbed Bronze 8" x 30" Kick Plate Powder Coated Magnetic Mount

This kickplate was well-protected in its shipping sleeve, but it arrived with numerous scratches that were there before shipping. Advertised as bronze, powder-coated. It is actually a silver color with bronze-like edges, only evident online if you enlarge the picture (which I did after receiving). I was disappointed, b/c it is a difficult size/color and I am hesitant to try this company again.

What you see is what you get. But what made this kick plate a worthwhile purchase was the way it arrived.It was packed inside insulated cardboard with a cardboard backing, and a piece of masonite cut to secure the brass and keep it from bending in transit. The face also has a layer of protective plastic laid down for a last protection against a blemish. It arrived in perfect condition. It took about two minutes to install after measuring and marking the screw holes. We refinished our front door, and added new hardware. the kick plate adds the last finishing touch. A really worthwhile purchase.

I have a steel door, so was willing to pay extra to get a magnetic mount kick plate so I would not need to damage my door. The magnetic backing was very cheap and thin--note the bubbles on the magnet layer in the photo, which is how it came. When I tried to adhere it to my steel door, the magnet was so weak that it would not stay on. I have used other magnets on this door it the past (wreath holders, etc.) and never had a problem. At $58, unacceptable quality. Other magnetic mount reviews were five stars, so maybe it is only the Satin Nickel Aluminum kick plate that is defective.

The kick plate was described as oil rubbed bronze. It was actually just brown paint on steel. Perfectly good if you’re looking for brown paint, a disappointment if you’re expecting oil rubbed bronze to match similar fixtures already installed

Most similar kick plates are so flimsy. This will stand up over time.

We repainted our house and wanted to keep the Doxies from scratching the door again. This accomplished the job. Received in perfect shape, well packed in shipment. Attached to the door easily and firmly. Happy with my purchase.

I like how easily it installed. The magnet is just the right strength. It looks really nice. One star removed for its durability. We've had it only a couple of months and it has a scuff mark on it now. Wish it was more durable, but I'd still buy it again.

Does the job advertised. Used on the bottom of our outside door due to dogs scratching up paint tring to get into house. Since installation, no paint scratches. One caveat, screws are not strong, actually twisted the head of one off while installing. That's with pre-drilling holes too. Just be cautious and don't over torque.

The first magnetic kick plate was returned - first time I've ever returned anything to Amazon and the return was incredibly easy! - the magnetic layer was bubbled. The replacement item had lost it's magnetic strength. Using magnets I've been able to restore this. But that shouldn't have been necessary.I was unable to restore magnetic strength. Item returned. Will try once more once the refund has been received. Needless to say, disappointed in the quality of the product.

Good quality and worth the cost. Product is also well protected in the package.
