Great for iced tea...but the lid!
I use this every day to make iced tea from loose tea. It does a very good job. The only concern is how the lid attaches, not really a screw top more of a twist and wedge system. You must be careful because it can be difficult to determine if the lid is secure. Overall a nice LARGE infuser that I continue to use almost daily.

FORLIFE Capsule Infuser
Updated: leaving 3 stars as before. But want to emphasise that cleaning out loose leaf tea out of it is chore enough that I am getting paper filters instead. I think that it may work for some people. Basically, one can place this filter into a bigger container with water and shake it until clean. Then take the whole water container with remaining loose tea, and dump it on say flowers to water them. And remaining grounds would probably make for a fertilizer, though I am not sure about that. But I try to drain water without loosing loose tea into the sink. Then collect remaining loose tea and squeey it dry, and dump it into my garbage. Some still escape into my synk. Anyway, too much work the way I do it.First off, I would give at least 4 stars to it, if I would get it for a better price. But when I needed it, it was at the highest price ever, and it is not as great as I thought, in addition to that. So, what I am saying, is that I am taking one star for emotional reasons only. Why I am taking the other star off: I have to say this star is half emotional as well, but half deserved, may be. Basically, here is what is bad about it, which I did not spend time to find out:1. it still allows some fine particles through the mesh. Too much for my taste. Probably need to find a different solution, like paper bags.2. it is not as easy to get the used up tea leaves from the container.I feel I must also say what is good about it as well:1. I have placed 4 dry table spoons of tea into it, (from my research, enough for 2 gallons of tea), and it was fine, may have been able to accept 1 or 2 more and still work fine.2. It is stainless steel, and seems to be well made, and it looks nice, and it functions as one would expect, no issues.3. the only option I was able to find for such big size, and with such small mesh.

Great for making tea for kombucha and also useful for making soup and bone broth
I use this infuser with tea leaves for brewing custom tea blends for kombucha. Prior to buying this I was using reusable cloth tea bags which worked OK, but were hard to clean out. This nice stainless steel infuser is larger than expected, but it really allows room for my tea leaves to expand. I had no idea 2 tbs of tea leaves could expand so much to nearly fill the container! It makes wonderful tea and is super easy to clean out. I also recently used it for herbs and spices in making bone broth. I inserted my chicken carcasses and chopped veggies into a large Soup Socks - Regency Reusable Soup Socks For Making Stock And Clean Flavorful Broth - 18-Pack , added my spices to this infuser and put everything into my Instant Pot IP-DUO60 6 Qt 7-in-1 Multi-Use Programmable Pressure Cooker, Slow Cooker, Rice Cooker, Steamer, Sauté, Yogurt Maker and Warmer (Packaging May Vary) electric pressure cooker, filling to 3/4 full with filtered water. Set cooker to 120 minutes and got the best bone broth ever! Best part is there was absolutely nothing to strain out. I simply removed the soup sock and infuser and had perfect bone broth ready to use!

Nice Infuser big enough to make 1 gallon ice tea
I bought this infuser for making ice tea by the gallon. It works. It will hold 32 grams of loose tea (which I weigh out on my espresso scale), although it's pretty full. However, I've gotten awesome tasting white and green ice teas so far brewing one gallon. My ice tea spigot jar hold 1.5 gallons, so I just bought another one of these infusers, so I can steep 1.5 gallons of ice tea. Nice hook and chain makes the infuser easy to hang on the side of the jar, or lift up and down while steeping. Easy to clean, lid secures "securely," and the infuser seems very solidly built. I drink a lot of tea, and I think that 24 grams in each infuser to steep a gallon and a half will get me even better results. Follow the water temperature guides and steep times for the teas you purchase, and you'll be pleased. Very glad I purchased this product. So glad, I just ordered a second one. I also recommend a tiny digital scale for measuring your tea. I also use one for weighing out espresso grinds, and it makes a huge difference in beverage quality.

The Holy Grail of Infusers!
This is exactly what we were looking for! We are giant loose leaf iced tea fans! So we needed a giant size infuser for the job. We like to brew 2 gallons at a time and this can handle the job. I have to admit the price point was a bit daunting, but did some more research and decided to bite the bullet. We are blown away at the quality of this infuser, super small mesh openings so there is ZERO tea material that leaks out. This is easy to clean, easy to use and the true flavor and the true flavor of the tea is never compromised.

This is awesome!
This cost three or four times what one of those giant hinged tea balls cost, but it's already been worth it for me! I've had those hinged balls come apart erupting marc all over everything too many times. There are workarounds with clamps and twist ties, etc., but this is such a higher-quality solution. It holds just about a cup, although you want to leave some room for your teas to expand, so don't stuff it. But it's plenty for a gallon of tea for kombucha, or for a full ounce of some herbs for infusions. The mesh is really fine, so small pieces like rooibos, tulsi, pekoe, etc., stay in the infuser and don't sift out. I haven't yet tried powdered herbs, but I think especially non-mucilaginous powders (fo-ti, rhodiola) should work. The lid screws on just a half turn, which made me a little anxious at first, but I've pulled it out of the water and shaken it pretty good, and everything stayed together, so that's a good sign. The hook at the end of the chain is designed, I think, to rest on the lip of an iced-tea pitcher. When I use it on the lip of the stockpot while simmering an infusion, it's a little too thick for the lid to seal. But that's no big deal--if I need the lid to seal I just let the chain plus hook be down in the pot. Its size makes it easy to fish out with a spoon when I'm done.

Best I've ever used
It lives up to every good review it has. Very sturdy, beautifully made; holds a LOT of whatever you want to put in there. The chain is quite long and also very well made and the hook will fit over the rim of any pot or pan I can think of. LId fits on neatly and does not come off when you lift it out of the water. It takes the place of 3 separate infusers I used to use to make my favourite mixed herbal brew. Be excellent for steeping herbs in soup or stew too.I can put at least six very heaped teaspoons of good loose leaf tea in this and it brews up perfectly; plenty of room for full expansion of the dry leaves. Dishwashers will clean it but they don't remove tannin stains unless you wash it after every use. I usually just rinse it out, rather than wash every time, so now and then I'll soak it in a bit of bleach to take off the stains.

Well made. Tricky to get lid on if you have arthritis
Well made but the lid is difficult to put on, at least for me. However the steel is very high quality, absolutely no rusting (some items from other companies that claim to be stainless rust.) This one is surely stainless and very well made. The fine mesh is great to make teas or tisanes. It does an excellent job straining ginger especially. I'd buy it again. Do note that it is not offered through amazon so cannot be returned

Also works with bath products
Great quality and can be used with both tea and bath products that have dried flowers in them.

Like it
This is what I was looking for a long time ago. It's solid and it makes excellent tea infusing through those extremely small holes spread all aver its surface (side top and bottom). Easy to clean and handle. I don't worry about breaking any teeny part like with the cheap ones. Its worth the price. One year later: still intact. I will definitely by more.

Easily fits 10tsp of tea
Easily fits 10tsp of tea, can probably even get a couple more in there. 3” x 3”. I have 2, and use them to make large pots of tea on the stove to chill for iced tea.
