Crosley Furniture Sullivan Wood Home Office Secretary Desk with Storage Shelves and Drawers, White

Arrived in 2 huge boxes and very nicely wrapped to prevent any damages. Lots of peices BUT instructions were very clear. My 14 yr old son put it all together by himself in about 1.5 hrs going at a normal pace. I did have to help put the top part on and one of the dowels didnt line up exactly on the desk so he drilled a larger hole for it to fit right. The drawers lock together which was nice..no drill or hammer required only a Phillip's screwdriver. It's a beautiful and very sturdy peice. I just love it! I can simply close it when company comes over and boom no messy papers or wires. Printer even fit! Bonus, I got it cheaper than what Wayfair and Overstock had it listed for!

This item arrived in two boxes, and the packaging alone is worthy of it's own review. It was actually impressive and I am sure it took a good amount of engineering, although there was a lot of packaging to dispose of. That aside, there was definitely a bit to assemble and would be difficult to sort it all out in a tight space. It took me about an hour and a half at a moderate pace. Once together, I was definitely impressed by the sturdiness of this desk. It looks great in the Living Room. The work space is tight, but it's not meant for running a business off of. I took out the middle shelf in the hutch to have some room to slide my laptop back and have papers in front of me. That has helped improve the functionality. If the holes for the shelf bracket went up higher, I would be able to raise the shelf above the laptop screen and still use it, and I may drill some holes for that at another time.I did think the six hutch drawers would help me to sort out papers for filing, but they don't fit 8.5x11 well. I may end up taking out those drawers when sorting, but they obviously were not intended for that. They are best for storage and supplies. Finally, probably an obvious one but the drawers on the lower section are pretty useless when using the desk, so again best for storage.All in all, it has great storage and looks great. It's a good place to set up shop for paying bills and ordering supplies, but a bit small for work that requires referencing papers and filing.

I wanted this style desk but it could have been about 8” smaller in width. It is extremely heavy and hard to move. I wish it had been of better quality, drawers did not slide easily. There is adequate storage and I like the writing surface.

When I retired 2 yrs ago, I moved with my DH to rural NC. Since he was working from home (& still is!) it seemed appropriate for him to use the office including my office furniture. That left me with only the kitchen table in the Breakfast Room to manage my papers. So... DH agreed to a desk for me, to live in the Breakfast Room. This gorgeous blac desk is perfect! There is plenty of room for ALL of my "desk things" & it is so easy for me to turn my kitchen chair, lower the desk front to work. Or, work from the table & put away all those papers in this lovely desk. It goes beautifully with my kitchen colors of black, gray, and a pop of color (Teal) on my cabinets. Took DH only 3 hrs to build, with only a few ugly words, & it is gorgeous. Delivered in 2 very BIG & very HEAVY boxes. Very sturdy & perfect for my needs. I still have empty desk drawers too! Highly recommend.

I can’t praise this product enough! It comes in two large boxes. One contains the top unit, already fully assembled. The other contains all of the components of the desk unit. I was pleasantly surprised at how much hardware cane with it, expecting a ton of camlocks. But, no! The hardware is already installed in each piece making connecting them easy and foolproof. There was one pice that had missing hardware and a call to customer service solved the problem. Very easy to assemble, but you will need a second person at the end to help lift the top unit to fit onto the desk. Sturdy, solid, attractive! Exactly what I needed to make my very small guest room serve as a clandestine office.

Recently moved and purchased this to replace the former desk that was built in. Never sat at the desk but stored bills, paperwork, pens, pencils, basic office needs and assorted junk/mail. This fit my needs perfectly. Our printer fits which is a nice added bonus. The drop down desk surface folds up when not in use that makes the area less cluttered than my previous desk. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I purchased the desk as a birthday present several months in advance. I should have opened the box to check before the return window closed. The bottom platform of the desk had broken off from the footing with pegs broken off in the holes and the woods split in several places. I attempted to use glue and nails to reattach these two pieces. While the glue was drying, I discovered it was missing all three L panels which form the bottom of the drawers. I also discovered several of the little black pieces on panels C and D used to attach to the back panel were broken off. At that point, I did not even bother to put the rest together. Very disappointed and disheartened. Not clear I have any recourse at this stage. Serves me right for not buying local.
