Rockhard Safety Men’s 4'' Steel Toe Athletic Work Shoes

Husband had heel and ankle pain after working all day on hard floors in a machine shop. I've made doctor appointments for this stubborn man, but he just keeps cancelling them. We've spent a lot of money trying to get the right steel toed shoe or boot. I read the reviews on this shoe, look at the price and think..."this can't be. A good shoe would cost must more...right?" I move on but keep coming back to this shoe. Looks light, airy, has the proper cushion. What the heck. I ordered them and he LOVES this shoe. He can't stop bragging on them. No cons, only pros. Vented. Light. The right padding in the heel. Feet and ankles no longer hurt. True to size.I'm adding to my initial review. I bought these for my husband in March, it's now the middle of August. My husband just remarked...'Hey, my feet don't hurt anymore!' Felt good to hear.

I work in a machine shop and I stand on a cement floor 10 to 12 hours a day. I normally wear New Balance sneakers, and I was obviously concerned about how comfortable $40 sneakers would be when I'm on my feet that much time. I switched from the New Balance because all of their steel toed sneakers have non-slip soles and the metal chips would just stick in those little grooves and I would be tracking them everywhere in my car and into my house. These sneakers have more of a normal tread to them where that does not happen and I am quite pleased with my purchase.

I got these boots because as a mechanic im always bending squatting, and dropping crap on my feet. I had boots that literally were hurting my feet every day. I was gonna wait to write this review because I wanted to break them in however a few hours into breaking them in I realized the steel toe part is really small and I can feel it digging into my left toes and not my toes on my right foot. So when I bend over it hurts, which is really crappy. I got these shoes so I could stop having foot pain and it just moved my problem from the balls of my feet to the toes. I wouldn’t have bought these if I tried them on at a store they are nice and look nice but long term I’m gonna have to buy different boots. If you don’t bend or move your feet much and you walk only and are standing for long periods these shoes probably won’t effect you much, but for someone who will bend over or squat, avoid. Do yourself a favor and do not purchaseUpdate less then 2 weeks in the fabric is ripping

It's the best safety shoes !! I use Reebok and Timberland before , i decide to try this onesAnd soo far very light , good fit and important is , this shoes are not heavy soo great deal !! The price it's perfect , thanks

I'm a 9.5 in everything and they fit perfect and are comfortable out of the box. My boots always end up with aftermarket inserts right away but not these. Not as breathable as sneakers but way more breathable then boots. They look like sneakers and are not bulky. I like the faint safety orange logo on the tongue but it can be tucked under my jeans. You can easily knock with your knuckles on the toe to show people they have safety reinforced toes. I'm a superintendent and these are perfect after a week. *If I was on my knees often with toe tips on the concrete they may wear quickly but they do have that soul come ups to protect that from happening. Not meant for kicking anything as they are mostly fabric exterior. I would buy again and might stock up of they hold up long term.

This is a sneaker with a steel toe for protection. In my opinion this shoe is for a job that requires that just in case safety regulation. Comfortable to walk around and stand with. This works for me because I work at a location that requires steel/composite toe footwear no matter what your position. My particular job requires me to be on my feet for 8 - 10 hours a day outside on an airport ramp. I needed something that was lighter and more comfortable than work boots. These shoes so far are working out great as the weather is getting warmer. These shoes are comfortable and light. They fit true to form and toe box has plenty of room. They also look good. The insole is on the thinner side but adequate. If you need more cushion or arch support throw some insoles in there. Lets face it, these shoes are not for constantly kicking things, having oil or fluids poured on them (obviously not waterproof), expecting warm feet in cold months (New England weather). They are mostly wrapped in a fabric coating that will rip at some point if scuffed against stuff. If you need durability and protection as mentioned above you need a work boot not a sneaker with a steel toe. Just my 2 cents.

Lightest steel toe shoe out on the market. Feels like a sneaker with the protection of steel toe. After wearing for 12 hour shifts no pain in my feet. I will buy again and again

These shoes are well made, really nice and fit well / comfortable. I just bought 2 more pairs. I recommend them all the time. I don't think most people will be disappointed by them. Try them; I think you will agree with me. I love them. Good Job by Rock hard.
